  1. We weren't going to go at first. The Eagles farewell Tour. Tickets at first were between $500.00 to $1,500.00. Then when they actually went on sale, today, the wife waited in line of 2,000 people to see the price there. She bought them. 2 tickets for $145.00 a piece. So this is our last time seeing them in February next year. We went to 3 concerts of there's and all three were great. She wasn't going to go at first because of Glen Fry being dead. But I told her they will have someone outstanding to take his place. Were considering this to be our 44th Wedding Anniversary present to each other. Our 44th Anniversary is this coming Friday so the concert will just be later on. No big deal.

  3. Yeah but I had a bet with my aunt. If I could drink a glass of water with my left arm, She would give me $100.00. Of course there was a timeline there. Forgot what it was. I did fail but tried so hard doing it. I lost the bet and got zero for trying, Lol. Had another bet with my mom. Forgot what it was about but I do remember what for. A 426 Hemi for my race car. At the time I wanted to race a Rail Dragster. So It needed to go 6 seconds for Alcohol. I won that bet but got ZIP. Moral of that story? Never trust your parents LOL.
  4. I was young, and an experiment back then. I actually went through it all because it helped medical science help so many others with cancer. They told me I would not survive. So the good Lord proved the doctors wrong by helping me to survive. I tried to help lots of people going through cancer. I was in the hospital for a month and in intensive care for a week. Our son thought I did die, I was gone for so long.
  5. Actually I lost all mine with that brain tumor cancer I had. Dr. Silverberg kept telling me, I would look like Telly Sevela after my 1st chemo. I wasn't supposed to get any back. I survived 3 but the 1st radiation took it all.
  6. When you have to have LIFE LERT in case you fall. (That stupid thing doesn't work, I bed over and it goes off.)
  7. Best wishes on healing. At 13, I nearly cut my left arm off. I was supposed to bleed out and die before getting to the Hospital. They saved my left arm as the bone itself held my arm on. It was cut all the way around with all the veins and nerves. That took me almost 3 years to recover. So this should be a walk in the park for you. Still play guitar. That was 57 years ago.
  8. Stupid joke? Lets see, The dumbest one I know is pretty filthy so not sure I should tell it? Here is, A kid fell in the mud and was covered from head to toe in mud.
  9. Rather its true or not, I don't know but my oldest sister was a music teacher and claimed Ringo was the few drummers who had perfect timing. My wife claims the same thing.
  10. I have questions about guitars in closets. I put a cheap acoustic guitar my wife bought me in a closet and left it there. 30 years later I took it out and the bridge was pulled loose and bent up 3/8". It's an Oscar Smidth. Was going to toss it out but I still have it and thinking about having it fixed. Its so old, I want to hear it. The wood is aged great. Its a jumbo.
  11. Yes indeed I think you do have it all there?
  12. I haven't seen or heard Dion so long I almost forgot about him. Used to listen to him a lot growing up. He's good.
  13. I got a Gretsch a couple weeks back from Sweetwater. A Jet with a Bristol Fog finish. I had a Jet as a teen which was my favorite guitar to go to. It was a silver jet.
  14. They do look nice. I like the Pelhame blue.
  15. I'll wait for the leaves to finish dropping and see if our son will come and do the house?
  16. At the Railroad, I would always jump from one car to the next. We carried hatch coveres from one to another on program cars.
  17. I used to go up on the roof and climb all over like a monkey. I did roofing when I was laid off from the railroad. Now at 70, with the peaks our house has, I feel very insecure. My dad fell off 2 roofs when he was alive. It actually scares me some now. My wife says, I'll hire it done and I say....No you Won't. I can still go up. That's just a guys ego talking Lol. But yeah, so many things you actually can't do anymore as we age. My wife's aunt fell 3 steps and broke her neck. There was some name for a bone? Anyway, she died. Both our parents have been long gone. I have fallen several times and once in the basement getting Christmas decorations off the shelf. I fell on the concrete floor cracking my skull open. had several staples. they said I had a concussion. Funny though, I was waiting for the doctor to show up and stitch it up and was wondering what was taking him so long. I started talking to myself. (Where is this guy coming from? Kansas City? If he was driving from Des Moines, He should be here by now!) Lol, I didn't know it was him in the hall on a computer listening to me. Guess they have to let concussion victims sit a long time and observe them first?
  18. I felt like I spent so many decades wanting to reach retirement age and when it finally came, I whooped it up all the way home from the party singing. Then I suddenly thought, What am I celebrating for? If I make it to 100, over half my life is gone. I really don't want to see the 90's. I've seen too many make the 90's and there's nothing good about them.
  19. Actually I did. I hit it on the wall. Deb was on the toilet and heard a thud.
  20. I was 8 in 61 and 20 in 73. I always thought you were a little older than you are?
  21. Here's a new one. I was taking off my shirt and and as it went on top of my head, I couldn't see anything, lost my balance and fell towards the bathroom sinks. That was a first for me.
