  1. I've been a Zappa fan since the early 80s when a Canadian frind turned me on to him, and it's been downhill ever since.
  2. Reminds me of the old joke, "If I can't take it with me I'm not going". I have a lot of musicians in the family so I'll just let them fight over my guitars. One neice has alrady put a claim on my Strat. Talk about not waiting for the body to get cold.
  3. Now if someone can built a J45/D28...
  4. Hope you write a review after you use it. We make our own sausage using a Kitchenaid attachment. It gets clogged easily while grinding which makes it a pain to use. Have to keep taking it apart to clear the clog.
  5. I love the way your dog sits on the steps, but it doesn't look all that comfortable. I have a black lab mix who's a clown; he'd probably sit the same way.
  6. I like Yoko's music when she's not cackling. Approximately Infinate Universe and feeling the Space are decent albums, as are her songs on Sometime in NYC and Double Fantasy, IMO.
  7. I've always liked their music and TV show. I was 9 when the show first aired. Another piece of my youth passing away makes me sad. Half of The Beatles, The Who, The Doors and now The Monkees gone.
  8. Didn't have to worry about that with my Casino. The E fell off on its own. Bronx
  9. Recentley went to Do-It Center for some hardware. When I got to the cashier the first thing she said was "Discount?" I repeated "Discount?" She said "5% off for seniors." Didn't think I looked that old (I'm 61), was like a knife though my heart. Bronx
  10. I'm in CoCal so can ride year round. Almost have to. I live 45 miles from work and 40 of it is on the 101 so lane splitting, especially on Thursday and Friday afternoons, is a Godsend. Current ride is a Vstar 1300. Bronx
  11. My (horrible phone pic) SG I think I bought it in 2006 but don't quite remember. It has a 6 digit serial number beginning with 06, but serial number lookups say it's an invalid number. Being a Beatle nut I wanted a Maestro trem like George's SG. Bronx
  12. I quit smoking January, 1986 and still get a craving every once in a while. I'll never smoke again but it's weird that all these years later every now and then I get this thing in my head that a cigarette would taste good. However, when I pass by someone who's smoking the smell is pretty repulsive. Sorry now that I once did that to others. When I started smoking cigarettes were 35¢ a pack at the corner store. If I ran out and had to buy a pack at the local bar I would ***** about the price because they were 65¢ in their machine. Bronx
  13. I have a 2003 Elitist Texan with the ceramic adjustable saddle. This thing is a tone monster; really love the sound. I often wondered if it would sound even better with a fixed saddle, but like the sound as is too much to mess with it. Bronx

    EAGLES!

I called an electronics distributor in Philadelphia this week. They were blasting the Eagles fight song on hold in a loop. It was funny for about the first 30 seconds but quickly got annoying. I told the rep not to put me on hold again until after the Superbowl. Bronx
  15. I've been to that Guitar Center. It's huge and a great place to spend an afternoon when you've got nothing else to do. I was there for about 4 hours going from department to department playing with all the toys. I was looking at those reissues in 2011. Wanted a sunburst Casino with a factory trem and that was an option with these. A sunburst Elitist Casino came my way for a good price so I got that instead and put a Bigsby B7 on it. When I got my first MIK Casino in 2001 the pickguard "E" was lying at the bottom of the box when I first opened it. Bronx
  16. Great pictures. I met Sir Paul in 2001 and he seemed like a genuinely nice man who hadn't let super-stardom go to his head. Bronx
  17. Hi all, I have a 2001 natural Korean Casino in need of a new pickup switch. From what I've read Switchcraft is the way to go, but searching for the specific switch that will fit has me more confused than ever (not difficult to confuse me). Is item #1242 in this link the one I want to get? http://www.stewmac.com/Pickups_and_Electronics/Components_and_Parts/Switches/Switchcraft_Toggle_Switches.html I was a member of the old Epiphone forum years ago before it got murged into the Gibson board, and just never made the transition. Last week I got a new 2015 Gibson ES339 Studio at a cl
