  1. The cherry sides are something i'd have to get used to, but figure I could.
  2. Nice guitar, congrats! I think I can just barely see BK's reflection in the front...
  3. I use some of the smaller ones that just hold the lower bout and never had an issue. These are in places not likely to get bumped, and having said that, my Gibby is in a stand that cradles the neck, but more because I like to be able to pick the guitar and stand up w/ one hand when I want to pick and move where I'm playing. I am at the point where I need to get a new stand anyways, rubber padding starting to give - and the Hercules is the front runner. Only bad thing I ever heard was the plastic deteiorating, but they stepped up big time to fix it for anyone with issues, so good in my book.
  4. Out of curiosity, where are you out of? Say your Mexican, thing I remember most about my trip to Mexico was gummy bears covered in chili powder :), and some good people. A sad statement, I will have one in your honor
  5. alright all, hot dogs are good but I got my sights set on a different tube steak for tonight. (get your minds out of the gutters) - it's sausage w/ onion and peppers (from the local garden). it will be good, but really only posted this because I want to see what b. bill has to say about tube steak 😉
  6. Today is football, ribs, pulled pork and family - just finished my chores so got an hour of guitar time ahead of me before the hullabaloo starts 🙂 Yesterday was smoking ribs, pulled pork and hours of guitar play while managing the charcoal smoker.
  7. I appreciate the review. I typically go for D'addario or Martin PBs just for ready availability. I wonder if we'll find these in the music shops or if it will just be on line.
  8. Buc, I just listened again. This really is awesome - doing that with an acoustic, and you got pipes my friend - awesome singing. If you got it in you, gotta do one more take - I bet it will be start to finish golden. Love to hear you do rebel yell.
  9. Buc, I love the songs you go after and how you 'acousticize' them. - thank you for posting!
  10. How good is that! Fingers crossed for continued success - and thank you again for the real time reviews!
  11. Hey Jinder - any time in the saddle with this one, any reviews to give yet?
  12. Hey QMJJ - I've seen you post a couple times on the Roland, which got me looking. The reviews seem really good and has me enticed as a portable amp, but not sure I'd want it as the only one in my studio. Playing most of my time in there (and I believe it's the intention of the OP as well), because it is only battery powered. For those situations, I would want to plug in just to save the life of the batteries. So many toys...
  13. yea - i'm happy with what I got, more than meets my purpose - and for the rest, I have learned to live vicariously through this forum. You should get one 🙂
  14. Hey EA, just looked at the AER, and saw it has a 'pan' knob. I'm used to pan being used with multiple speakers / amps to move the sound around, what does that do on a single acoustic amp?
  15. settles it, should get both...
  16. Reading Kidblast's input - it would come down to need for portability without a power source for me. That's pretty big for me, I like to pick up and go out back to the campfire on occasion, and have hooked it up to blue tooth as a music source on occasion as well. Not needing power makes it a whole lot easier, but if you're just sitting in your studio and being plugged in is no issue - the fishman, or something fishman-ish would be enticing. I have not done side by side sound comparisons, so can't speak to that, but I can say I'm more than happy with what I get out of the Bose.
  17. I vote Bose S1. Small but big enough. 2 Channels, treble and bass controls, and comes with a battery pack for portable play. Sounds good too. $6 - $700.
