  1. Hey Jinder - Seems like a product engineer is needed to see what you're doing and what's going on. I gotta believe there's something wrong with the Schertler - I've heard a couple of songs of yours and although they're better than the average bears, they are not so wildly different where I would think an amp would work for everyone else except you. If you just didn't like the sound, I could understand, but the thing isn't functioning right. I guess the only other thing I would try would be another Domino - it seemed like that was a good one except the faulty channel, which hopefully you could get one that worked correctly. Sorry for your hassles - hope something works out alright. This should be an exciting exercise (new equipment yeah!) but geeze it's been a trial for you. Something good will come of it.
  2. Jinder, how did you settle on the Roy, seems awesome, but it's a pretty big piece of gear - 7 channels / 400 watts? The demo sounded fantastic, I'd take it - but didn't think you were looking for something that big. Rgds - br
  3. Locked and loaded is what that makes me think, well done!
  4. Jinder - although I'm sorry the AER didn't work out, I truly am appreciating your journey - and extremely insightful reviews - of the acoustic amp world. I've been wondering about the Schertler's since they've been brought up, so happy the next one up is one of those. Good luck with this being the end of the process.
  5. Sorry, I'm not knowledgeable on Gibson acoustic amps - for my education - what would you consider to be an equivalent to the Domino 3 in your opinion?
  6. Awesome Jinder, great news - best wishes for the reliability you're hoping for!
  7. On my guild, had a pin fail and in a pinch used a chopstick to fill the need. Filled the need with respect to making the guitar usable, but geeze did it kill the string... muted compared to all the others. Just got a new pin though - so all is fine with the world. Posting because I was amazed at the impact of the pin alone, I really had not expected that...

  9. 2018 J45 Vintage is said to become the standard by all else are judged... just saying.
  10. Super sweet guitar - I'm sure it will come with years of fun!
  11. strength of the magnets play a big part in the output. not sure how closely that is controlled or may differ between pickups?
  12. Forgot about that, I know what I'm listening to on my commute tonight
  13. Seems like a limiting strategy, hopefully just for the short term.
  14. For bang for the buck, I'm liking: LP Tribute In Satin Honey burst https://www.gibson.com/Guitar/USAANM97/Les-Paul-Tribute#SKU-LPTR00FHNH1 LP Studio in Smokehouse burst. https://www.gibson.com/Guitar/USAYNB363/Les-Paul-Studio#SKU-LPST00KHCH1 I do like the look of the classic, but wary of the burstbuckers just because of all the comments, no experience. -------- When people are looking for last model years, where are you usually looking? Local shops, GC?
