Resolved a BIG problem about Slash Signature Rosso Corsa Les Paul

i felt speechless and helpless

sigh....spend the money then can not get what should i get…

Gibson won't help you because it has nothing to do with Gibson.

Gibson's accountability for the contents of the package ended when Sam Ash signed-off on the delivery.

Terrible thought, I know, but a cynic might not even believe you got the wrong case in the first place.

A cynic might think you sold the Limited Edition case for a fairly large sum of money and bought a regular Gibson case for a fraction of the price whilst pocketing the handsome profit into the bargain.

A cynic might even go so far as to consider you thought up a scam to get another Ltd Ed. case from Gibson and made up this whole post to give your story some sort of 'credibility'.

If Sam Ash asks you to prove otherwise could you do it?

i need go to find their local store, right?

Yeah, if you're diplomatic, about how you "get in their face," it will

help, because the actual store you go to, wasn't the point of purchase,

(it was on-line, right?), and as such they only have a somewhat tacit

responsibility, being a "Sam Ash" store, and they may still tell you

to go back to the "on-line" retailer. I've had mixed results, doing

just that, regarding on-line purchases, and "in-store" claims. One GC

took care of me, with no questions asked. Another, in a different state,

was not so forthcoming, until I mentioned going to "Corporate," with my

complaint. Then, they were (reluctantly) more cooperative.

Just be sure to take your receipt, and any pertinent paperwork, shipping

receipts, package inventory check list (if there was one), etc.

So, good luck!

You know the dealer ripped all the stuff out of the guitar i would take it back . Gibson doesn't do that and if they did and if any thing they will send you what you are missing. And by the way that is one nice Les Paul you have there .

Gibson's description of the Slash-Guitar with case doesn't sound like much.

Just a black Gibson USA case with the Slash-logo on it.

Considering the warranty on the product, I'd still hit up Gibson Customer Service.

Call and claim a defective case, say the latch broke and you need the case replaced.

Supply the Slash Guitar purchase receipt and Serial Number info,

get a RMA, return material authorization number.

And also state the missing Logo issue -

Clearly marked on the case, when you send it back in the box --- MISSING LOGO!

with picture of the guitar, S/N, and a copy of the product specs.

Box up the case and ship it out to Gibson.

Put it on in their desk. Tell them your not happy.

Only accept the correct case on return.

Please review your product warranty,

And claim a defective product.

Imo,

Shouldn't all honest, upright, mfg's that stand behind products with warranties, honor their own stated warranty.

The case is clearly defective.

It's just like returning anything from any store,

you get your money back or product exchange.

And be sure to tell them your not happy.

and imply it's their job to make you happy.

Go ahead do it, be happy in life.

Go get what you paid for.

Gibson wants to make you happy.

Yeah listen to rct.

RCT is right,, you have to grow some balls if you want this settled since you 'waited' 3.5 months to start looking at the issue.

Dealer will usually stand behind their sales under a 'reasonable' time; typically 45 days from sale.

The manufacturer (even if they screwed up the packaging) will only stand behind their dealer not direct through to the customer.

We've seen enough warranty posts here on the forum and its really, really, really tough to get Gibson to work with you, they rely a lot on the dealers to make it right.

You're going to have to do some leg work by gathering all the details and pictures you can about what you're supposed to get.

Then detail everything you got

Then get some movement on this, dinking around a guitar user forum that is sponsored by the guitar manufacturer will NOT help you resolve this.

You have to work, plead, beg (cry if you must) with the dealer with all the details of your dilemma and maybe all will be alright.

But don't be surprised if you're left with what you received.

I just recieved my Slash LP with the correct case but without strap locks. The company I purchased it from has placed an order with Gibson. We'll see.........

I also note that the toggle switch seems to emit bass when set on Treble and Treble when set on Bass. Is it the switch or is it me that is wired wrong?

There is an easy way to find out what pup is selected. Put the switch up (neck pup selected) , then run your nail along the string from the 20th fret towards the bridge, you should notice a climbing pitch switch to a falling pitch as you pass the neck pup. If you dont, keep going until you get to the bridge pup and if you hear it there the switch is wired in reverse.

Assuming it is wired right look at pickup heights.

Gibson will help u!

lol

So what happened?

Did they say it was their fault and admit that it didn't have the right case or strap buttons?

Or did they say the shop did something?

Are you having to send your old case back? ( I assume they don't care about wanting the regular strap buttons back? )

Cool.. so in the end all is well and you get something for the hassle...

Well done you.. and well done Gibson [thumbup]
