I actually think he is 85, his grandsons and family got sick of him and dumped him on a nursing home, he feels lonely and is very angry at anyone... if you are that much anoyed by him (I have just ignored the old fart) then you might just wanna check for nursing homes near his location and send a letter asking them to stop allowing those guys internet use (and abuse). I once banned an entire country just because I got sick of the porn spam that kept originating from there. It doesn't matter though; while you can't realistically ban the whole of the UK or US because you'd ban a LOT of other people who post here, you can still take some pretty broad measures. Just trust me on this one, I've spent quite a bit of time as a moderator on some very heavily trafficked message boards as well as a few others and I'm pretty handy with a ban stick. Most people no longer use the static IP address method of proxies any more, but web proxies and programs like Tor. Which if I remember correctly, can be used to have an IP address WITHIN the US, and yes I am from the UK, No, I do not have a guitar, I did, a long time ago at least consider taking lessons (Actually took one, but I didn't take any more...). The only good anyone has been with dealing with the situation is the people who haven't even replied, like the moderator you've been asking for in question has already stated too you. Proxy's are easy to get, I prevent proxy access all the time; its really easy. I have many networks that I am responsible for and the younger kids try to get away with everything while at work. As long as I watch them for a few days I see what they are doing and then; wham no access. Its oh so easy; but there are those who might try to slide by; I admit it might get through for a few hours since I am not on site. But I can and do view the logs and thats how I will get ya. So as many ways you can figure how to get through there is that many plus one more ways to block. But rather than go through all this BS; why not just be nice. With all things considered by your own admittance do not own any guitars so why here? Oh you can be banned, then re-join then admin looks at the log and wham your gone again; you might post once or twice but you will be banned. The technology is already on the server and with your agreeing to join you had to agree to giving Gibson full rights to access your computer when you joined. Read a book about dos commands. ipconfig /release works great but if you understood the actual technology then you would know its a 99.9% chance you will get the exact same ip address back because of the way a dhcp works. You can do release / renew all you want but then you will get the same ip address back. But being a smart person like yourself you already knew that.
