GDTRFB
I did a search and don't see a whole lot of reviews for this. It appears they are still in production of this model. Although they earlier said it was out of production, some websites are showing they will receive more in July. I am in the market for a semi-hollow, and this looks like it may be just the ticket. I definitely like the 335 size more than the 339. If you have one, how do you like it?
Whitmore Willy
GDTRFB About 1/3 down the page: http://www.epiphone.com/Products/Out-of-Production.aspx Out of production but probably still available from some dealers. Willy
brad1
They may be out of production, but I think there are still a lot around to be found. You can order them from GC right now here ---> http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-Limited-Edition-ES-335-PRO-Electric-Guitar-107605768-i2257324.gc And I have seen them hanging on the wall at two separate GCs here in the area. I have a 2006 Epi Dot and love it. One of the best guitars for your money imo.
GDTRFB
There are some at a store about an hour from me. How are they? I have a casino now, but I have a ton of fluorescent lights in my basement where I usually play, and the hum is super annoying. I love the woody, airy sounds of hollows and semi hollows. So I am considering going to a humbucker semi hollow even though they are quite different than P-90s.

I definitely like the 335 size more than the 339. If you have one, how do you like it? I have one in Cherry and I absolutely love it! Having said that, the Dot is just as good a guitar, if you do not want the coil splitting feature of the ES-335 Pro. I wanted that feature and I like the neck markers. I do not like just the dots for markers. It is a keeper for me. Pete
byrds1965
Nice guitars and if you can find one go for it over the standard DOT. Unlike some others I do not like the Alnico Pros they sound flat to me, but improvement over the DOT PUs and the guitar alone with the binding worth it over the DOT. If you like the PUs great but if not a lot nicer guitar than the DOT to do a PU upgrade later. The Probuckers I do really like by the way.

Having said that, the Dot is just as good a guitar, if you do not want the coil splitting feature of the ES-335 Pro. I wanted that feature and I like the neck markers. I have a cherry Dot, and it's a super guitar. But like you say, the ES-335 has the nice rectangular neck markers and coil splitting, for the same price new. If I had to do over, I'd get an ES-335. Bikegawd
I have a 335 and a 339. I prefer the 339 so I don't play the 335 as much but I do like it. I picked it up in a trade and have been really happy.
poopcicle
My 335 pro has quickly become my go to! my 60's Tribute Les Paul, my Gibby Sg are both cozy in their cases and are not getting the attention they used to! The 335 pro is the first guitar with stock Epi pick ups I have done nothing other than add a bone nut. Usually I am unhappy with the stock pups but these sound great, awesom classic? southern rock sound easily dialed in with my Ts clone! BUY one you wont regret it! GDTRFB
thanks all. I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Worst that can happen is I return it.
crust
thanks all. I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Worst that can happen is I return it. Don't forget the picture when it arrives. For me, this is a great guitar. Please do a review after you've played it and looked it over. I really like mine. There are millions, if not billions of guitars in the world. I think I like the one Epiphone built for me as much as any other guitar I have had, or am likely to come across in the future. My Epiphone ES-335 Pro makes me happy. and most of the persons that have heard me play it (on a good day...lol) say they like the way it sounds. I guess that's what it's all about

GDTRFB
Picked it up yesterday afternoon. Gorgeous. I had feared it was a floor model since it was shipped from one GC store to my local one, but it appears brand new and was wrapped in all the original packaging. It seems well set up and the intonation is pretty close to right. This is the kind of tone I was hoping for, beautiful airy sounds with depth and character. It also sounds mean and rockin' overdriven. I am still just learning and a novice player, but I can see myself playing this for years to come. And it looks fantastic. I am a sucker for wood grain. I already have plans to replace the knobs with gold tophats and remove the pickguard. Let's see if these pics work:

GDTRFB
Thanks. One more quick question. Is the hardware really nickel, as listed on the Epi webite? It sure looks chrome to me.

GDTRFB
Here she is with a few mods. Gonna leave the stickers on the pups until the 30 day return period is up. And I am gonna swap out the truss rod cover for a blank one, and eventually I may change the tuners. That oughtta do it.
crust
That top is a wood cutters piece of art, looks very nice with the wavy "natural" pattern. Are you putting the scratch plate back on ? Also, what is that microphone looking thing attached to the amp handle ? Nice amps too
GDTRFB
Thanks! I'll probably leave the pickguard off. Fender Mustang I and a limited Blues Jr. with Cannabis Rex speaker. That's just a clip on tuner and a capo on the amp handle. I will say the neck is a bit chunkier than I am used to. I am acclimating, but it is quite a change from the slip taper neck on my SG. I have a Dot which is very similar and it was also setup well right out of the box. Which tuners are considering replacing the vintage keystones with? DTL
Nice. Mine's a blonde, too.Replaced the pups with Duncans a few years ago, and just finished going coil split a short time before the 335 pro was released. Great guitar set up that way. Sold my Tele since this works so well for my Blues.
GDTRFB
probably nickel Grovers. The green's just not right, way too dark. have Klusons on my SG that look much nicer. So the 335 looks funny sitting next to it.
