SteveFord
An interesting bit about the music industry is Joe's Garage Acts I, II and III. It's laugh out loud funny in parts. For big band there's Hot Rats, The Grand Wazoo and Waka Jawaka. Over-Nite Sensation and Apostrophe' are really good and feature an all star cast including Tina Turner and the Ikettes. jaxson50
He was one of a kind and the suits just couldn't pidgeon hole him. He never "sold out" or change his style to accommodate the market, You either sought him out or you didn't, and he could live with that. He could have toured with a small group and use a synth, but he was one of the last who kept a horn section and multiple percussionist because he wanted that sound.
