Hacker At Large

I didn't get anything. Feeling really left out here. :(

But it sounds like somebody registered here and then sent spam personal messages to some forum members. Is that what happened? If so, what does that have to do with whether the site is "secure"? Any forum member could do the same thing. It's up to the moderators to keep an eye on things and deal with this - which they did! :) A "security" issue would be if a hacker stole your password and e-mail address. Has that happened to anyone? That is not the same as the site sending you an e-mail alert about a personal message.

Some browsers will show that this site is not "secure", which is due to the fact that an https address is not being used. There are some concerns with this, but I don't think they are related. And hopefully a big company like Gibson will implement the https protocol on the site soon, since it is the currently accepted standard.

Hey KS Daddy, there is still an email from that Anna thing still in messanger unopened??? Pls advise

Just ignore it or delete it. It's just spam. There's a link in the message to a dating site or a porn site or something, again, same old crap every one of us has dealt with since dialup days.

Mods can't access your private messages or control what someone posts on your page. You can delete that by yourself. Unless of course they are spammers or otherwise causing s***, at which point I ban them entirely, like I did with Anna2019. The fact that you can still see his/her profile and has not been wiped out completely is above my job approval authority.

I understand. But can't a user delete comments from their own profile page? I don't know, because there are no comments on my page. To be clear.... I am talking about the public page that any forum member can view by clicking the name on a post. "jvi" might want to remove the comment from "anna" on his profile page. If he cannot do that as a ordinary user, then an administrator should. Among other things, it contains a spam link.

And I think that "anna" is a spammer and not a hacker.
