Split OCD dilemma

All ES guitars have this kind of issue.  They only make sloped pickup rings.  I take a bridge pickup ring and sand it flat, or whatever the necessary angle is.  I'll bet you could also turn the neck ring around, like lots of people do, but then sand it a little flatter so it's just right.  It just might end up a little too thin if you sand it down too much.  That's why I use a thick one and sand it to the right angle and thickness.  Just put a sheet of sandpaper flat on a table and hold the ring in your hand and go at it until it's right.  It does take some work to do it.

It's kind of OCD, but, at the same time, there's a certain angle - almost flat, but sloped a little toward the neck - that would work really well for almost every ES guitar they make.  If Gibson had some extra cash lying around they could ask their supplier to make some of those, and all us perfectionists wouldn't have to worry about it anymore.
