I took the ASVAB in 1983 and again in 1984.

It was explained to me that their scoring was not simply based on a percentage.

I don't know why' date=' and I understand it's been changed many times, but my scores were out of a possible 140.

There are some of us (me) who use guns as tools or just to have some fun. I have never thought of a firearm as a means for bolstering a diminishing libido, or in a phallic way.

 

I do not believe the average gun owner is in league with those that think it part of their identity. I don't even put my favorite LP in that category.

I own several, hunted until I was in my twenties and just lost interest.

If I'm not gonna eat what I kill, why kill anything at all? I gave my last two kills away to fellow hunters.

 

I collect tactical and military style weapons because they are some of the finest made.

Think of military aircraft - the same purpose in design and construction makes them quite unique.

 

I never brandish weapons, never pointed one at anybody in my life - hope I never have to.

I now sell guns, as my father did for decades in his own business.

 

I go shooting every month or two in order to maintain proficiency with my weapons.

That's important if you own them.

 

 

I became a gun nut after being labeled as such by those desiring to remove them from private hands.

It's that simple.

 

I responded by baiting them and getting them as stirred up as I can.

Their angered responses always reveal their true feelings.

 

There's a lot to be learned from people with sort of fear-driven mindset - none of it good.
