sparquelito
I was literally climing a spruce tree today, to trim away limbs that threatened to interfere with power lines. 😐
Rabs
What kind of tree was it? Looks like it some nice wood there. Edited November 13, 2022 by Rabs
SteveFord
Some sort of oak tree, maybe red oak? The oak trees in this area are all dying off, there's a whole variety of causes: https://extension.umd.edu/resource/why-oak-trees-are-declining-or-dying

Which is nice.. Oak is a lovely wood.. Probably a bit heavy for a guitar but could be used for many other things.. Wood turners would love it. SteveFord
It was massive. I'm so glad I got it down before it killed someone - it was hanging over the street, the neighbor's yard and my house.
Murph
I used to do that work when I was young. That's why I'm so beat up now... That was a big assed tree, those guys had the gear!
merciful-evans
That's a weight off alright!
Twang Gang
This branch came down in my sister's back yard a couple years ago in a strong storm. The entire tree had to go, the base of which looks to be about twice the circumference of the one Steve took down. Maple - but no takers, it would have had about two years to dry out by now.
SteveFord
That's a big one, it would have flattened that house and anyone in there.
