daveinspain
Well last night was my last night at the club.... At the end of the night (early this morning) I got my walking papers... May 31 officially ends my contract. Good news is that I am getting a good severance pay and I can collect unemployment up to 24 months.... unemployment will pay me 70% of my wage. I do have a couple things that might work out in the not too distant future. So here I am looking at the next chapter in my life... ??
Rocky4
Sorry about the news. Keep positive, down the road you might look at it as a good thing. Tighten your belt, enjoy the time off, and take the time to better yourself.

heymisterk
If you lived in America, conservatives would be calling you the problem. daveinspain
Sorry to hear about your lost job. I hope you find something else to do that you enjoy. Are you going to stay in Europe? Actually I have no choice but to stay here in Europe/Spain.... I have no medical insurance in the states and I'm over 50 so it would be way expensive for me to get it now... Here in Spain we have social medicine thats very good and I also have a private heath insurance that only costs me 35 euros a month...

I wish more Americans would realize that putting more money in *now* saves a whole lot of money later. If we would invest in preventative medicine, we'd probably save millions of dollars...... But hey...I'm just a crazy "socialist liberal."
