Fenno
I played one of these today at Ye Olde Music! Perfect specimen by which I will compare all SJ-200s from this day on. Ren's done a fine job on these. Here's the Sweetwater page: SJ-200 Gallery FWIW, they've got it up for over 5k, Mike has his at under 4.
Buc McMaster
Very nice looking 200! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think in 1938 the 200 was still rosewood, not maple. Anyone got their Gibson Flattops book handy??
Towzend
Hmmm.. Nice, but i dont like the red in the burst, i think it makes it look cheap!

Murph
It's a looker..... Too much razzle/dazzle for me, but it's nice.
Fenno
In person, this guitar did not look red. Black to light brown, classic Gibson burst.
jchabalk
whoa mama! that is sweet!! i'm not a big fan of the triburst either (that's what they call that right?) but man that guitar really makes me think twice about it. the pg is nice! Jinder
That is very sexy indeed. I love the alternate colours in the pickguard dots.
bkharmony
Yeah, not crazy about it. As said before, the red is a little much. I also dislike the blue on the pickguard. I prefer J-200s with a plain pickguard (like the Pre-War model). I do like the tuners though. I'm considering putting that style on my Standard. Buc McMaster
I do like the tuners though. I'm considering putting that style on my Standard. Hurrah for Grover Imperials! I replaced the Waverly butterbeans on my 200 WC with a set and I very much like them. Required drilling/reaming as the Imperial post and bushing is much larger than the others, but the big honkin' machine head just looks better on the oversize headstock of a 200. I agree! onewilyfool
Guys and Gals....is this the LARGEST acoustic guitar Gibson makes? Very nice, clearly made with love...

tw2_usa
Been drooling over Gibson's jumbos for a while now. Played a John Goodall quilted maple jumbo last week and omg. Maybe it was just the room I played it in but I was surprised by the additional projection and energy (yes, that was it, the energy) of the tones coming out of that thing. I wonder if this is a similar difference between this limited edition of the J200 and the standards.
fortyearspickn
I couldn't imagine liking a guitar more than my '04SJ200. But, I would guess that the $6K price tag on this one suggests it's for collectors. Much higher profit margin than what was on the old WM45s. I hope Gibson sells a thousand of them!
