Bluemoon
I was listening to my ipod last night while working out. Hit shuffle and Journey's "Don't Stop Believin" was the first song out the gate. I cranked it. I liked it. It kind of rocked. It reminded me of high-school. I liked it so much that I played it again. And again. I felt a little ashamed at first. Embarrassed. To be honest, I felt a little dirty. But once I decided to embrace my inner-Journeyness, a calm enveloped me. I feel like a new man. I feel free.
Big Bill
Journey was one of the best concerts I've seen back in the early 80's. Now, if somebody was to hand me a couple of tickets, I would say no thank you.

Bluemoon
What happened to the title of my thread? Guitarest, I don't think your edits really capture the essence of my post. It said I like Journey--so F**K U.

djroge1
I still like to listen to Journy - Neil rocks and there is no denying that. After all, if he didn't rock Gibson wouldn't make his signiture guitar?

I used to love Judas Priest' date=' Motorhead, the Clash, Saxon, Maiden....now I listen to ColdPlay, Journey, and Foreigner. Crap...I am turning into my Dad. [/quote'] Aside from ColdPlay...I listen to all of em. I came of musical age in the mid 70's, so I have gone through all of it as it happened. I feel lucky in that regard. I can rock to The Eagles/Joe Walsh on one hand and Iron Maiden, Judas Preist or Kiss on the other. I like Neal as a guitar player more than Journey itself. But then again I hate Steve Perry and his unwillingness to reconcile with the band. Kind of saw him as a Pr$k after that. (See what happens when bands break up badly). GnR is the same for me. The whole Slash/Axl thing really pisses me off. The artist's brain really has to get over itself. And yes...Gene and Ace's pissing contest as well. There is absolutely no consistency to what I like. Never really understood those who just listen to one type of music.
GibsonByBirth
Journey was one of the best concerts I've seen back in the early 80's. Now' date=' if somebody was to hand me a couple of tickets, I would say no thank you.[/quote'] Same here but the little girls behind us screaming in our ears ruined it. We had free tickets and went mainly to see the intro to 'Wheel in the Sky' which we had just fiquired out. They skipped this part live.
