I've never really been a big Melodymaker fan' date=' but that particular guitar looks different in a good way with that bridge...that IS a Kahler, yes? Is that a direct replacement, or did you have to route for it?[/quote']

thanx[cool]

It's a 1983 Gibson branded Kahler made for hard tail bridge applications.... Routing is required

Looks great - but even though I'm older than the trem tailpiece that I ain't seen anything like it.

Does it hold tune pretty well? Any probs with that?

The rest of the guitar looks like a great idea to me for playing a wide range of stuff...

"Polishing Turds' date='" are we? (JUST KIDDING!!!) It looks [b']Outstanding[/b], Duane...truly! ;>)

By the way, how do you like that Vox amp! I'm "tempted" every time I see one.

LOL[biggrin]

Actually for what it is my AC50PCH is a pretty darn good amp.... Granted it's nowhere near my old Boogie MARK IV heads, but it get's the job done for the wide variety of music I play.

Looks to me like Gibson could take a lesson from ya' Duane.

Better yet' date=' how about the Duane V Signature Melody Maker.[blush

thanx, but I get all my idears from floating around places like this [biggrin]

Below are my "Tres Amigas." All Gibby guitars that were under $800 brand new, and at the end of their plastic surgeries, none of them exceeded $1400 total.[biggrin]

Is the locking nut Kahler also?

Can you do crazy dive bombs without going out of tune?

You should use the whammy on your demo [biggrin]

You can get EVH on it and it will stay in tune[biggrin] ..... The locking nut is Kahler

I'll add some wiggly bar stuff in the demo[biggrin]
