Well I do have a fondness for #9 and #5, but since I already have #9, I would say that

you got too many LPs, and you should do the right thing and let one of them be

a prize for "winning" in your poll, because I can't understand what you mean by

"we all win"....

#4 That Casino just glows...But These are ALL Great!!!!

I didn't get around to taking pics, I guess I could have used my avatar shot, that's pretty cool. I have it in color, b&w,washed out color, and color overloaded.(was messing around with color levels on the camera just for fun) Here's the color overloaded:

and the washed out:

Picture120.jpg

I think this looks so surreal LOL

Hopefully you can see I was trying to be creative, if it isn't just in my imagination.

If we do this again I'm in!!!!

Voted #4..for the picture...The guitar is very nice, but the picture is truly exceptional...# 3 is also nice as an original picture, but does'nt show much of the guitar... it is my second choice...as a nice picture. #1 is a Gibson...we are on an Epiphone forum..so the guitar is beautiful, but does'nt remains here...

Yep, act...that's me. But I'm not sure about class. No problem to leave BJA off the list, I can see it any time I want.

Carverman! Did anybody shoot at you today? No? Then you're a winner, too! Oh, and when I asked Epi to help out with the prize, they told me the check's in the mail. Seriously, Epi could do a lot worse than to make this an on-going contest, and maintain a photo album of the winners, because some of these shots are really well done. Just for instance, how could anyone see Jerrymac's black-on-red and not want one? Or believe that Biff's gorgeous neck isn't attached to the most elegant guitar in the world.

Did anybody else notice that a lot of people talked about the LP's here, but most people voted for the boxes. Wonder why?

Daneman - try infrared or ultraviolet, and then "color correct" if you'd like to see some crazy stuff. Just up the street, in Berkeley, is a bookstore called "The Dark Carnival" which specializes in horror, mystery and fantasy genres. Your decor, skull and all, would fit right in. For years, the first thing you saw entering the store, were dozens of bats suspended from the ceiling. 2nd thing was an open coffin with a manikin dressed as Count Dracula.

Well I was ready to vote for every single one of these beauties, but somebody turned the poll off.

Checks in the mail huh! ..and how did Biff end up grafting his neck to the elegant guitar? I want to hear more about

that one!

Shut the poll off? I told them to run it 7 days. And I waited until midafternoon to vote so I could hide mine, and didn't have any trouble at all. Regrets...

Seriously, though, about Biff's picture -- there are photographers, of my acquaintance, who specialize in areas of photograhphy that I knew nothing about until I met these people. The one that came to mind is a man who does only aerial pictures of architectural structures, buildings, bridges, stuff like that - and is flown somewhere overseas 2 or 3 times a year because corporations and governments hire him to immortalize the structure (and themselves along with it). Another type is "brand name" photography, i.e., the only pictures solds all have a very prominent manufacturer or retail brand name and/or logo prominently displayed. Often, in settings that are exotic or unique - especially something where you would not normally expect the product; and, sometimes they are done in the style that Biff and JM chose, an anonymous, amorphous background, either neutral or highly contrasting, so that the subject seems to pop (gawd I hate the way that phrase is used nowadays) out of the background. Either way, IMHO, this one shows enough talent in the original idea and the execution of it that I recommend rack your brain, Biff, come up with a dozen other ideas to display a brand name product uniquely, print some 8x10's or larger (marked copyright) and find an agent who specializes in photographers or business photography. Can't guarantee a goal, but you never score if you always pass. (Man, did I work hard to get that out of purely American sports analogies!)
