bluefoxicy
oh for... fine. I have GIMP, I'll take a shot. Let me do some color rebiasing.
bluefoxicy
Yick. Selecting those pickups is HARD, they blur right into the body. A big, clear pic would make this easier. Like this one: http://cachepe.zzounds.com/media/quality,85/brand,zzounds/SGStandard-46adbc4be309ea639f96c1904653fb80.jpg Except, you know, a pic of the actual guitar you have there. layboomo
Thanks everybody! If the color is really close like the SG Custom I think it could look really good..but if it's on the white side of the scale I don't think it looks as nice? What do you guys think? bluesstringer
I personally prefer the black - maybe with the zebras.

If close to the Custom SG it would be perfect. If white it would be perfect enough. Beats the black one. IMO
bluesstringer
I do like the creme and gold combo on that SG custom although I'd probably creme the knobs and switch plate and tip also.

yosoybay
If I could find the color that matches the paint, I'd go with that. Otherwise, I'd leave it black. Either way, though, I'd throw on some chrome or nickel pup covers. Just my 2 cents.
garyelcrrt1281733995
Yeah, I thought the red tortoise shell out to bring just enough contrast .

garyelcrrt1281733995
Tortoise on cream is actually a pretty good suggestion.... Coming from a guy who's colorblind no less. sHHH! Its called red/green color blind, so naturally its blue and violet that I don't see properly. And before anyone asks, its not that people like me CAN'T see colors, its that many colors appear the same, i.e., blue, violet, purple, indigo, lilac are all the same color, just lighter or darker. Things like fuscia and muave are the ones that don't exist. Seriously, though, all color blind people of my acquaintance memorize "colors that go together" and "colors that don't go together" by the time age 16 arrives. The hardest part of all is putting up with mothers that don't understand "I don't ever, ever EVER wear GREEN!" and people that ask "I know you can't see colors, but what color is it to you?" RotcanX
Maybe 'muave' doesn't exist but 'mauve' does. I'm thinking that the thing my Dillion SG needs is a white pickguard:
