turquoise Casinos

Uncommon, but not rare.

I've seen them on eBay from time to time. I was very tempted to buy one (I like the way they look), but I figured since I double on sax, flute, wind synth, guitar and vocals on stage, there would be a good chance the guitar will get dinged, and a dinged natural guitar would probably look better than a dinged turquoise one.

How about posting some pictures of your new toys?

Not rare, just don't pop up that often. Actually to tell the truth I see them on E-Bay quite regularly now that I think about it. Then again, just like with anything else I guess, when you're not looking for one they seem to be everywhere.

Anyhow here is a bad picture of my '96. BTW Parabar, that's the same reason I got mine. Reminded me of a '57 rag top Chevy...or something out of the '50s.

The turquoise is über cool. Lately I've been getting into those '50s finishes that you see on Fenders, such as Surf green and Sonic blue and Daphne blue... I dunno why but all of a sudden I'm finding them incredibly attractive. I just watched the Greg Koch 'Guitar Gristle' DVD and in it he plays this awesome pale green Tele with yellow pearloid pickguard and gold hardware plus an awesome birdseye maple neck with colour matched headstock... just gorgeous.

Geeze had I know. I was looking for a Casino and Sam Ash had a used Turquoise for $300.00

I gotta go look and see if she's still there

Same deal here, the Sam Ash by me had a used one with a bigbsy for $300.00 a while back. It was a Peerless and was in good shape but I already had my burst and natural. I should have bought it just to have one with a bigbsy but I let it go. Dumb!

you know, i had never been that big of a fan of the turquoise casino, but when you compare it to a thunderbird...i just might have to shop around for a turquoise casino now, haha. but for now i'll just stick with my cherry casino

I've always had a thing for that Surf Green color on the Fender Strats too. Been lookinig on E-Bay for just the body, but always seem to get out bided at the last minute......O well, maybe one day I'll luck out.
