Mr. E
I have a lp junior that i want to paint. I really don't want to a solid color. I want something more "artistic", but right now I have "artist block". Lol Well anyway, I need help Thanks
Whitmore Willy
Mr.E "Emily the strange?".....(just kidding) always thought that was one ugly guitar I was curious so I went to google images and typed in custom guitar finish. Should be able to pick up a few ideas there. "painted guitar" also rendered many results. Good luck with the "artist block". I am sure it is only a matter of time before you "break on through". ButchCassidy
Maybe something de stijl influenced? But in all black through white colors? Idk... it's an idea. I'm an all one color/burst kinda guy myself. IMO, having a crazy painted guitar is just like having a car with bumper stickers all over it... just not my thing. SkEpTiKaL
Do something exotic, like Zebra stripes or Cheetah spots. Enthusiast of a certain brand name or logo? Paint it on! Painting your own guitar should be an expression of yourself and your feelings. Put a little bit of you into your paint job and you'll love it. ef_in_fla
Lime green and hot pink seem to be popular with the "kids" these days, especially the Ibanez kids. Maybe try one of those swirl/dips? Check Youtube for how-to's.

Guitar Chico
Put a purple-burst. I've always wanted to see a guitar with that. GC
charlie brown
Ah...just strip off all the finish, put a clear sealer coat on it, and you've got a "Lennon" LP Junior! (And no, I don't mean his Reddish "Madison Square Garden" version...just a stripped natural, like his Casino.) Probably sound better, with no finish, too. ;>) You could even put gold Grover's on it, too. CB
