BobB
How many watts RMS and what brand of speakers?
Silenced Fred
Yeah. 5 watts amp for those who asked. Clean channel sucks ****. Gain channel is alright, I didn't find it usable for my applications (blues) Lots of people swear by them, I think its ****. sharp is the only word you used that I agree with. Shnate McDuanus
Does it give you Mooretone, Steve? Personally, I'm not too interested in the Blackstar, but it seems like you like 'em and that means I'm happy for you.
Bender 4 Life
For practice and recording I use the HT5H (2nd generation). My cab. has a Jensen "Vintage Ceramic" series 12" speaker. It's a Blues Machine!! [/img] Had it for a year now, and the stock tubes are still fine........have a '61 NOS Tung-Sol(USA) 12bh7 power tube here for when the stocker degrades. I'll replace the Sovtek ecc83 pre-amp with a "Groove Tube" when I replace the power tube. Then I get do do my 1st ever bias test/adjustment....... cjlandry
I tried one in a music store, recently. It had some good sounds, but it didn't really speak to me enough to lay down the cash.
Riffster
Are you asking about Blackstar amps or the model you posted? There is a big difference between the model you posted and the other Blackstar amps. I did not care for the sound on the model in the pic, I was excited when it came out but after hearing it I was not, just not for me.

In GW they said Blackstar was started by some ninja ex-Marshall employees so that should say something for the direction they are going. I think high gain is the goal with them. I have not had the chance to see one up close though.
