Whitmore Willy
It's better than trying to wear it down and shape it with a vibrator. Willy

ChanMan
A pruning saw will cut through that wood fairly quickly, but it would be a rough finish. I think even I would rather use modern technology.... :)

Jeff-7
You know it's bad when dem00n is correcting you... Exactly what I was thinking. As for using a handsaw, it's possible and will take a lot of work but people were making guitars long before band saws came along.
hotshot9991
The only thing im worried about is when you use a band saw or jig it laying flat on the neck when you use a regular saw the line could be crooked and that could cause a problem. Andy R
Maybe a sharp coping saw would work? Just a thought.
neilpanda
well, when you need neck blanks its good to know somebody who works at a wood distributor. I get my wood, and cut it there.
