Duende
I have been really enjoying and appreciating The Beatles music again and found this on youtube! I completely agree with the comment that says it is one of the best covers of it out there! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUKF_nucISY&feature=related Matt
drathbun
Wow! That guy is good! That's dedication for ya... not only learning the sitar, but buying one too. I don't have a sitar, so I used my Rickenbacker 360/12 to play the sitar parts in my cover. It still lends a Beatley feel to the song. Guest WiseAxe
Well that's a very nice faithful, if not a tad rote, rendition of the original. Kind of like playing 'Stairway', though. A fresh approach to a standard gets my vote for the sake of creativeness, however. I see your Norwegian Wood, and raise you a Uke that not-so-Gently-Weeps (the blur on the screen @ t=3:20 is the player's right hand): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puSkP3uym5k

vincentw
I'm guessing sitar was his first instrument. I'd rather see a band nail it live in the studio.

heyhey
D'oh! He uses a capo... Why didn't I think of that... I learned it using a standard Em chord. That looks a WHOLE lot easier. LOL! Cheers, Chris
