Geert1976
I have a few Fenders, but I don't like them. I prefer my Gibsons, because they play beter, smell better, the sound is better, the looks are better. I don't use them often. I always call Fenders: crapocasters How about you? What do you think? Shnate McDuanus
Well, actually... As I've gained more experience with guitars, I've found that I really love Strats and offset-style Fenders (i.e, Jaguars, Jazzmasters, Mustangs.) I still don't fully understand the appeal of the Tele. It's not like I haven't tried Telecasters, either--my dad owns one and I once went a whole month playing nothing but that Telecaster, but I couldn't connect with it. Maybe it was that one Telecaster and I would, given some time, connect with another one. Stratocasters, on the other hand, really, really appeal to me these days. duane v
Like the way they look Like the way they sound Don't like the buzzing of the pups My fretting hand just don't like the feel of the necks and fretboards Thus I will never own one...... But my daughter likes her Hello Kitty strat.... And it's a pretty good player

charlie brown
I Love Fender guitars! Especially, Strats and Telecasters! Love my Gibson, Gretsch, Rickenbacker, and Epiphones, as well. If I didn't, I wouldn't have bought (and of) them! Why, on Earth, if you don't like Fender guitars, would you BUY "a few of them????" CB
duane v
Oh god, the Hello Kitty strat.. wich one, My girlfriend owns the black one. The pink one.... My oldest Fender is a 1979 Strat, very crappy guitar. I also own a Fender 52 Ri killer: a 1984 Tokai TE 70 Breezysound (it plays and sounds better then a 52ri Telecaster

Feels pretty solid I dressed the frets to, and i want to swap the stock humbucker for a EMG 85, but my girlfriend forbids me to do that
L5Larry
Sometimes the job calls for a Fender, everyone should have one. And since the question was "do you like Fenders?", even though I'm probably one of the most dedicated Gibson Players here, I have a couple of Stratocasters that would be hard to part with. Duende
But my daughter likes her Hello Kitty strat.... And it's a pretty good player Bless her I love my Fenders very much! If I had to choose and could only have Fenders or Gibson guitars, I would choose my Fender guitars, because I find they can do a wider variety of things... BUT!!! I prefer the feel and big sound of my Gibson guitars! Matt

SG FAN
Fenders SUCK!! That's why I just put an ash Tele on layaway. All guitars have their place IMO. Kinda iffy on Strats though.
marvar
I dislike Strat's to an extreme! Tele's can be cool- I like Fender amps better than I like any of their guitars.

I've been told that so many times, but I can get Fender strat and tele tones out of my Gibsons, but you'll never get a Fender to sound like a Gibby full bore.....JMO Bless her I love my Fenders very much! charlie brown
Yeah, Matt...I hear you. I took my little "Highway 1" Fender "Texas" Telecaster (Though, it's not technically a "Texas" Tele, anymore, as I've swapped out the pickups), to our last rehearsal, as it had been awhile, since I played it, out... and, the whole evening, I was wondering "why" (1) I didn't play it, a LOT more, and (2) if I really "needed" anything else, for what "I" do?
