Namvet
I had shoulder reconstruction surgery (right shoulder) at the end of December. Was able to start messing with the axe again in about 3 weeks. Good luck and hang in there!
ShredAstaire
Listen to a lot of music. I had shoulder surgery several years ago...it was the only thing that got me through not playing guitar! Good luck brother!

Steven Tari
When I had mine, I thought nothing but guitar and chords while I was in pain and in theropy. Keep your mind on the guitar even when you can't play. For a month and a half I played guitar in my head and looked at new songs I wanted to play. I can't say for sure but after this , I was told my speed had increased and songs had also increased in quality. New song's had come easier to play. hope you use the time, other then complaining about the pain.
swleary
Good advice Steve. I think that's what I'll try to do. I see what you used to make it better for you, you already had everything stored in to your brain and that helped alot when the time came to play. It's kinda like how the brain can rewire itself and be ready for anything when the time comes.

ChanMan
Pick up another instrument, like the mountain dulcimer. Easy as pie to play, and much easier on the shoulder!
Tim Plains
No point in leaving that Traditional unplayed for three months. :-" I love this video. This could be you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qyp8A_HHlrk
rocketman
This could be you. Yeah but then he'd need finger surgery after playing like that! That was amazing. Nice guitar too, but you already knew that.
