Silenced Fred
Why do I have such serious GAS for a Peavey 6505+ right now? If I sold most of my pedals, I could get one and a 2x12 cab...
rct
Because you suddenly became g4y for hissy, scratchy, uber fake high gain sounds? Maybe. Or not, don't really know. rct
rct
You do realize(hopefully) that I'm kidding. I used Peavey when yer mom didn't know yer dad. rct

I used Peavey when yer mom didn't know yer dad. rct I was hoping you were kidding, its actually a good amp. My parents have known each other for over 30 years, married for like 26 (I think) I want a good crunch, my Sunn lacks in that. Recommend a good pedal? rct
31 Years for us in November, my hat is off to yer parents. I was using Peaveys mid 70's thanks to Skynyrd and a few others. I don't know the more modern versions, haven't owned one since a Mace in the late 80's early 90's. I'm assuming yer Sunn is the recent decade or so Fender reuse of that name? They were nice, I almost bought one myself. Pedals I do not know about, I use the amp when gigging, haven't had to use a pedal in a very very long time, and that would be usually a Big Muff or similar if using house twin at one of the casinos. I feel your pain, but I do not know the pill. There are just too many out there Grasshopper, and your journey will long and difficult. rct

My Sunn is a Fender Reissue from the early 90s or something. Great sounds, the Gain channel is kind of lacking for heavier stuff that isn't as noisy (I know, I know, but some stuff doesn't need to create a wall of sound, but its not like I'm looking for mid scoops or anything, just higher gain) I know I talk about pedals a lot, but as it turns out, I don't use them too often. Most of it is neck pickup into clean channel of amp, then little bits and pieces with effects

Silenced Fred
those amps are for rock/metal players...not fuzz users I'd run a stereo set up. My Sunn with effects for clean/noise stuff, Peavey for bringing the rawk

Shnate McDuanus
D00d, a GH Effects NoBrainer. My GAS has been directed steadily towards this since I saw this demo: The tone controls make it absurdly versatile. (I didn't believe the hype at first either--now I'm a convert and desperately saving my funds for one.) Alternately...yeah, you could get a 6505+. They're pretty awesome.
