Sheraton Variations

So, my two Sheraton II's are my favorite guitars I've ever played. I've got a (new era) vintage sunburst and a natural one. I'd like to keep my eyes open for deals of more models that I don't have. Help me see if I've missed any other colors.

I know about the black

And the older sunburst

And although I've never seen one in person, I've seen pictures of the Alpine White

Are there any other variations, colors, that I'm missing. I know that there are obviously the original Sheratons (as opposed to Sheraton II), Elitist models, and special Johnny Lee Hooker models (with only a few hundred made). I don't know how many more there are out there, but I'd like to know what to keep my eyes open for.

There is also a Wine Red sheraton. And dont forget the Sheraton Deluxe. Its a Vintage Sunburst with a flame maple top. Oh, and also the rare Matsumoku Sheraton with a frequensator tailpiece. Most of them came with a stopbar, except for the very early ones.

Here is a list os Sherries..

You Guys are killing me!

I've always been a fan of Sheratons. Now you go and put up really cool pics.

What was that Harrison Song? Oh,ya...."Here Comes The Gas"...do..do..do..do.

Had a chance to buy an Elitist years ago. Been regretting not getting it ever since.

Anyway, Mbrooks, is that a Blues Jr. that the white one is leaning on?

Cunningham, That is one sweet issue. I've always been a sucker for sunburst.

I think it looks great when the burst runs into the horns (cut-away) on the upper bout. Much like the Casinos.

Not that I would mind having the tear drop type sunburst. Also kind of a fan of the naturals.

Oh well, maybe someday.

Willy

EDIT: LOL RaSTuS....terminology corrected. Seriously, I'm beginning to wonder if I'm developing Alzheimer's.

Lately, I'm having trouble with my memory.

As it should be IMO, I don't like the ones where the burst is contained to the main part of the body ignoring the wings/horns entirely not nearly as much as the bursts that follow the full shape of the body (including wings/horns).

I own a AIUSA Sheraton II, with mini-humbuckers, nitro finish, and

Kalamazoo spec's (headstock, etc.) Awesome neck, and great tone!

I LOVE it! (I added the Grover Imperial tuner buttons. It came with

the normal "butter bean" type.)

CB, is yours a 1993-94 USA Centennial Series? Or is it a John Lee Hooker?

It's an over-run, of the last AIUSA John Lee Hooker version, without the

JLH pickguard or TRC. I only wish now, I would have purchased both versions,

with stop bar and frequensator tailpiece, and "natural" finish. But, funds

were/are tight, and I'm lucky to have the one I own.

Ah. AI=assembled in. I was trying to figure out what that meant. It all clicked when you said it was the JLH. [biggrin] Its kind of cool that you got an overrun without all of the sig stuff. Makes it a little more special IMO.
