rocketman
... I had to go see the SRV statue, even though I was sweating like a pig in 103 degree heat! Seen it every time I've been there.

stein
Notice the shadow he cast. That is a significant statement included in this piece of artwork. And it truly tells the story. + 100 billion.

Guest rogerb
Austin is a very cool town (except in temperature) Great statue, I have never seen it but it is now on my list of things to do.
rct
Is a great town. Been there times many, used to go there for work, never seen the statue. Too many great living guitar players! Like the Continental, have seen Charlie Sexton there he is amazed anyone knows who he is that isn't from Austin, have a beer, yakk about his first record from like, twenty years ago! Luna y Luna for food, on Congress I think, used to be. Have some nice souveniers from that town, but no guitars. rct

rocketman
Cool tribute. What part of Austin is it in? Riffster said it already. It's also near the famous bat bridge, where you can see 2 million bats come out. It's very cool. [ The entire city is great. Go to 6th street where SRV got his start. Great players!
