I was wondering about your explorer, what model it is. I used to own one, but it's back didn't curve like yours.

Nice guitars, you're fortunate to have them.

The Bird mods are fairly well documented.

Standard 59 reissue Burstbucker in the neck.

498-T in the bridge.

Stock caps @250.

Les Paul mods. Undisclosed.(none basicly) They sounded the way I wanted them to without transplants.

Explorer 57's. One of only 2 left.

It's a reissue of Eric Claptons cut off.

Shown here...

Hey someone peed on the 3rd guitar... all over it: inlays, top, and even over the pick... :P

Nice set of axes... ehhhh... AXE. You think it would be easy to replicate that shape in a standard explorer? Or would the tone be damaged forever? (I don't know much about the one clapton used...).

Sometimes I mark my territory by peeing on other peoples guitars (as long as their not LP's).

You got to be careful to disconnect it from the amp first. Or at least stand on a non-conductive service.

Trans Amber ...aka "the butterburst"]

Hhhmmm "butter"burst...aaarrgggg. Doh!! I've never seen one in person and yours looks different than the standard pictures on websites that sell them. I like it a lot!

I've never been real attracted to Explorers, but I have to admit that one in the first pic is a stunner. I've never heard of this model before.

Thanks for sharing the picture and the info.
