  1. Jumbled politics and pocket phone lies aside that was fun to listen to
  2. Nice recording - guitar sounds very good - and your voice is finding its way - keep writing man.
  3. Pano Tuner lite ap on my phone. Works great. But, of course not convenient to tune on the fly for you gigging folks. Once Tuned my Gibsons stay in tune for days. I am not a heavy handed player, never use a pick.
  4. Ok. Now Christmas can begin. I wait for these every year. Thanks for continuing the tradition.
  5. Sb, pm sent. Lots of interest, first address I get in my message box, wins.
  6. I'm interested in all three bird guards..just tell me what you need me to do. I have three Hummingbirds, and could really use these thanks...Alan

  7. Shipping in the continental United States is included in the purchase price. 🤠
  8. https://imgur.com/gallery/RWx60ig I have 3 Hummingbird pickguards I acquired from a friend in Bozeman a few years ago. I don’t know why, I’ve never found a bird I bonded with. But, time to tidy up the guitar room. So, if you’re interested I’m willing to part with these for 25 cents each. No haggling, don’t bother low-balling me… I know what I got. One is a flubber guard, one I believe is off some custom shop build, and one is the original painted sort - still has the backing on it. I’ll never use these, so if you’re seriously interested- shoot me a message, and we’ll connect. And yes, the price is firm at 25 cents each.
  9. That’s a location hole enabling the factory to mount the bridge in the right location for scale and intonation. Was a long discussion of this a few years ago. That epoxy is harder than the Maple bridge plate.
  10. A few days ago I was contacted by a major concert promoter - “I hear you have a great sounding J-45. I’m producing the Aspen Labor Day concert, and the contract rider calls for us to provide Grace Potter a Gibson J-45 to play on stage - might we borrow yours?” “Cool” I say. “We’ll come check it out and then come pick it up the day before the show” Etc etc etc. They loved the J-45 (2009 TV model), and also loved my J-35 Vintage (2018 issue). They wanted both for the artist to be able to have a choice. J-45 is equipped with a Lyric, the 35 has a Trance Audio. Both are stunningly great sounding guitars. There are only 2 guitars I’ve ever played that sounded better - one being Hogeye’s Banner J-45 that looks like it was dragged behind a horse, but sounded angelic - the other being JTs minty 42 SJ. Both of which I offered to buy, only to have my offers kicked to the curb (oh well). Hearing horror stories of lost guitars, I dropped an Apple AirTag into each case. I have pictures of Grace Potter playing the J-45 on stage for almost her entire show. No idea if any other acts used the J-35 or not - I didn’t go to the 3 day event. I did witness the Airtags going around backstage and on stage for three days. Got the guitars back this morning. The J-35 is tuned in open “G” and strung with Curt Mangan lights. 10s The J-45 is in standard tuning, also strung with 10s To me they both sound like shite. 10s ? Really ? But, I guess “the artist” loved them. Elevens maybe, but tens? The guitar tech was kind enough to coil up and put the round core Thomaasik 12 gauge strings, that were on the J45 ,back in the case pocket, and include a brand new set of Curt Mangan 10s. Did the same on the 35 - and included someones strange black strap, and a bit of brand new buckle rash on the back. Anyone want a couple sets of Curt Mangan 10 gauge strings, and a black guitar strap that might have Grace Potter’s or Dave Grohl’s DNA on it? You pay the shipping, and they’re yours. Happy end of summer folks. Strum on, Smile Fierce!!! https://imgur.com/a/kLsnpCm
  11. J45 neck 1.72 mahogany SJ neck 1.76 rosewood if the J45 had the 1.76 neck it’d be an acquisition contender if the SJ had mahogany back and sides, it would be a contender. everything is backwards, but I’d love to try these
  12. Rings in the rosette - didn't the old LG-3 have like 5 or 7 rings? The guitar pictured has 3 ?
  13. Do you have a measurement for how much bow there is? 7 thousandths or less is workable, anything above ten becomes a lifelong issue. Just my experience. My Luther has a contraption to make these measurements. My knee jerk reaction is to bring it back to Dave's if that is convenient and have that discussion.
  14. I'll say - that sounds terrific. Don't tell my wife, but yeah, the J-45 is all the guitar I really need too.
