The foreign-made Texans were about $699 and the USA made ones are going to be $2699. There up on Sweetwaters site. Foreign-made casinos are about $499 so I would believe the usa-made ones are going to be over two grand. They are not yet up on Sweetwater site.

Yeah Civil Wars broke up a few years back.

Oh, so fake.

I've seen her live twice. Fruits Of My Labor is my favorite song of her's. She played Joy both times. I have to admit I am not a fan of that song.

Got a wild hair last night and started looking at Dove's on Reverb and the Bay. I think the cheapest one I saw in the US was $2500 in good condition. How many damn Doves are in Japan and are any of them real or are they all fakes.

They made those for about a year with the extra switch and 3 knobs with the metal nut thing. I'm going all in and saying real deal. So you traded for this guitar and back then, and you did not know if it was real? It that right.

Time to fiddle with some knobs. Nice.

Original Lucille 38 years old need help
Sgt. Pepper replied to NicoGas's topic in Gibson Repair and Restoration
Depends on what you want, what you like, how much you can spend. Mine came with 490's. People love em and people hate em. I loved em. I owned a Gibby BB King Lucille and that is not one. Sorry to bust your bubble. It would have a gloss finish, block inlays, 2 jacks for going stereo (really dual mono outs) to 2 amps that are placed where a LP's jacks are and not on the top like a traditional 335 or SG, a TP-6 tail peice, gold hardware, and a Varitone Switch. The only thing similar between that and a Lucille is no F holes. Here is what mine looked like. -
Amazing line-up - the new Gibson historic collection..

I only got to see the Hagar version of VH on 5150. Ok show but they are not my VH. After Fair Warning they stank. Do not touch the trim. -
Been to Maui once and the Big Island once. My wife got me a Kala uke when we were on the Big Island.

Take that clown to small claims court for being a sub par so called luthier and make him pay what it cost to fix it right by someone who can actually do it.

They don't show in the pic. I had an all hog LP Studio I got new in '07 or '08. I'm all acoustic now. After Gibson posted that famous video with Mark I traded my Gibson BB King for a Martin 000-28. Then sold all my amps and any ties to the electric world except for my Fender J Bass and bass amp. It says your in the UK but your Forum Name is Hawaiian. I lived on Oahu for a year and a half when I was in the US Coast Guard. Or do you like the High Priest moniker?

Sweet axe. Where are the chew marks?

Yeah I miss read, I'm dumb.

That is what I think of when I think Dove. That is the only thing I am missing that I want. A Maple guitar. Had a Guild JF-30 and it did not gel with me. How much bigger is Dove compared to Martins Dreads. I just got a D-41 and had to sell the Guild, D-28 and D-18 to finance it. I would love a Dove, but cant afford another guitar that cost 4 house payments.

Those were like almost 3k new, so $700 is either a fake or its beat to hell or someone has not idea what they have or here is my last scenario its hot.
-
Good stuff. Do you live down in the 'Ville? Been to Station Inn once on vacation.
-
Here is one on Reverb in the states. Its a 2006 though. Different color. Not sure if yours is like this but 3k is the price. Not sure what 3k US is in Sterling Pounds. https://reverb.com/item/29381200-2006-gibson-les-paul-standard-class-5-custom-shop-trans-black-quilt-top

I Love VH II, Steve. It is usually the only one I listen to if I'm gonna fire up some VH. I think I still have it on vinyl. -

Living legend or not there is a time to retire and all the sycophants hanging on and telling you that you still got it are just leeches. It has been over 35 to 40 years since the Stones have needed to go away , but they don't. The Beatles said we are making music now that can't be reproduced live with out several extra musicians, and they were burned out, and our shows are nothing more that a billion girls screaming. So they stopped and when they broke up there was not 10 reunion tours as a cash grab. Just my opinion. You got yours I got mine. -
Gibson Les Paul Slash SL 688 (the Fishman one)
Sgt. Pepper replied to ChazzRobbo's topic in The Gibson Lounge
That question comes up every now and then, and the answer - No they wont. Gibson will not re-issue another one. But you are welcome to call Gibson and try. I think all that wanted them have done that and that is how on the forum we know. You a Thin Lizzy fan? Love me some Lizzy. -

I loved it when several years ago when VH were trying to get back together and Dave swung that pole around and busted his nose on Jimmy Kimmel.
