  1. he's only 11. you guys already got him... divorced and a junkie Gawed I love his place
  2. yea but as long as he doesn't have to sell his axes!
  3. yea, agreed, he's unique and has everything he needs right now. 10 years from now?? yea.. look out.. impressive.
  4. I dig that arrangement, cool vid too - I think he nailed that one boys.
  5. true dat!! I don't have the problems you are having, well not yet anyway. Definitely start to feel it about standing with it for about 30 minutes. A wide padded strap does help, but it's still like a cinder block hanging from the shoulder
  6. I have a 95 standard that beats that by close to 2 lbs! got it's own center of gravity that one. I don't mind it tho, it's a real sledgehammer.
  7. yea, sure sounds like you're doing everything right RH wise. anything is possible, Pictures might help a bit.
  8. It's really not, but it sure looks like one SNL -- hysterical https://youtu.be/MVXN85TJabg
  9. Sounds like it's suffering from "Dry guitar syndrome" how's the humidity in your neck of the woods? Are you trying to do anything to level off RH in your environment?
  10. Thing is I don't have the treble bleed issue on my 95 LP Standard. At least not so much that I'm thinking about it, but it's maybe worth a check. on my 2002 standard I add the variable treble circuit on the 500k pot. and THAT worked quite well.
  11. you're nuts and you don't know what you are talking about There ! I fixed it for you.. Actually, truth be told, I could not agree more. For anyone who says that Les Pauls, (or that config) is not as versatile as a fender setup, has probably never spent any time at all working the middle position and blending neck and bridge pickups using volume and tone. I can get the coolest blues tones with that setup and just a little edge on the tone stack at the amp I wouldn't want a 2 humbucker setup that only had single volume and tone controls, you lose a lot of options that way. Now I'm not sure on the 50s wiring, and volume but I guess it would make sense. I don't have that set up in any of my Gibsons, but I've always been a bit intrigued if I'd like it or not.
  12. I only have "Mmmmerican" strats. My bro-inlaw has a MIM, I can take a look, I should be with him on Thrusday
  13. check the middle link, ($8.95) that shows you some detail on the thread end. and the 3rd link maybe worth a look too. Avoid the first one. that one is outrageously priced but it's probably from a mid 90s MIM strat.. so "original" if you will!! 🙂
  14. have you checked Ebay Ben? Fender Mexican Series Standard Strat Tremolo Arm | eBay (a bit pricey) Stainless Steel USA Thread Tremolo Arm Fits American/Mexican Fender Strat | eBay Fender Mexican Series Standard Strat Tremolo Arm | eBay
  15. IME it's been that new Gibson acoustics need a setup which must include correctly filing the nut slots as well as working on the saddle. Just addressing the saddle and neck relief is not really enough. Gibson does not do much of anything in particular to the nut, and that makes an enormous difference. My J200 was the same way. It was not easy to play until I got it setup properly. once that was done, it plays quite easily. Strange Resonance sounds like something may have been vibrating. was there a pick system in the guitar, sometimes the control dials can rattle, or perhaps one of the machine heads could have needed some slight tightening. there's really dozens of things that could cause this
  16. he left it all on stage when he played, no matter what he was doing. !!!Legend!!!
  17. Gary Moore is one of my all time Heroes. love it..
  18. I have no plans but if I did there would be something with "Les Paul" on it somewhere. Like I need another one right? !LOL!
  19. Hi Duane, Sorry to hear of your pops failing health, but God bless you all for helping him out like this. My dad had dementia and it had gotten pretty bad, spent his last days in a nursing home as 24 hour care is not something that comes easily. broke our hearts to know he was there every day.
  20. well I tried, I listened,, I really did.. momma told if you can't say anything nice. I'll leave it right there.
  21. Mono gig bags are top notch, one of my buds has one for his Rick 4001, In fact think it will carry two (bass guitars in his situation) but better brace yourself when you see the price tag tho. Gator has some ones that look pretty solid too.
  22. I have not noticed it however, I almost want to slap someone when I hear "So I was like, OMG!!! ....." ugh!
