That’s not the Royal Tan... They are lighter in color & have Nickel Chrome Dogear Covers....

I bought a new ES-175 in the early 2000’s. Great looking Guitar! They didn’t have MHS then.. I’m not sure which HB’s? Regardless, as much as I wanted to like that Guitar it just didn’t have a great sound for me... I had LP’s, Casino’s & an ES335 already. I ended up going a completely different direction and got a Rickenbacker 360 12 String.. Which I really like! I do have a recent Gibson ES Les Paul Black Top with MHS Pickups that sound excellent... Worth the wait...

Can you guys make out the Serial # on the Headstock from the Pic on Sweetwater? Is it the same as Fazekas Imgur Pic? For years Gibson & Epiphone Websites have been notorious for not having up to date Pics & Specs.. Are we positive this is any different? I think we’ll know when we actually have one in our Hands...

Yes, If you’re doing more than recording with Digital... Although, you could run a Line 6 Pod thru the PA... I’ve done that before... I didn’t care for it but the SS Sounds were no worse than anything with the new Tone Master Amps IMO....

To own the Tone Master Amp my ears need to be more broke... Ok if you play soft... They are better but still sound harsh when you push them.... Currentply I’m seriously considering the new Fender Pro Master Tube Amp. 40 Watts, Celelestion Neo Creamback 90 & weighs 32 lbs... And sounds great! Best of both Worlds... Light weight & Tubes..

As for recording, if you want digital, just use the Plugins that come with your DAW. They’re just as good.. Save your money. You don’t need an Amp.

Excellent points.... I agree.. Although the new Fender Pro Reverb 40 Watt Tube Amp at 32 lbs. is making it very tempting for me for both Studio & Live...

I would have to go with the ES335 given those choices.. What Pickups? The LP Gold Top with P90’s a very very close 2nd. Either will hold their value over time as they are extremely great Guitars & arguably they most preferred as they are so versatile....

Fazeka, I know you from BGC where I’m known by my Knick name, Lucky. I saw your Thread there.. I’ve had a Royal Tan on Order for more than a year... I kept hoping they would be more like J, P & G. I keep hoping that we haven’t seen the real finished Guitar yet & they will fix all the things you mentioned.. I’ll still take delivery.. The question will be, is it better than the 3 I already have? If not I will most likely return it & get an LP Goldtop with P90’s & Bigsby... it will end up good either way! Thanks for your Post.. L

The discrepancies with regard to when they will for real be available for delivery are amazing! From the Giants like Sweetwater to local Shops? Is there anyone from Gibson looking at these Threads that can chime in with something accurate??? Thanks

I’ve had one on Order for over a year.. At Sweetwater.. To my knowledge there are none in Stock at Retailers ready for Delivery anywhere at this time. Most Retailers are offering Pre-Orders... The newest “estimated” Delivery date is July... But, that is not guaranteed to my knowledge... If anyone has anything more accurate than this please let us know.

For these types of Guitars the inspiration by The Beatles & The Rolling Stones more than anything inspired me to own & play Epiphone Casinos & Gibson ES335’s.. As well as my Order for the new USA Epiphone Casino.. I have no inspiration for the Gibson ES330...

I love my old Martin D-35, Martin D12-16GTE, Epiphone Inspired by Texan & Gibson Masterbilt J-160E... Wonderful Guitars al!!! I have 6 & 12 String USA Guilds on my list as well..... The only other I’ve found equally impressive are Collings...

I won’t bother to watch the video of this guy. Who nobody will remember in 20 minutes, let alone 200 years. Paul Simon is unbelievably underrated. He is a Grand Master Tunesmith. His Works with Art Garfunkel are Musical Masterpieces.

Playing to Records & learning to play my part just like the Record. Same for Singing. Also, I try to find Players who are better than me to platypus with... It makes me play up..

I notice the difference of the neck length between my Firebird V, ES335, LP’s, J-160E & Casinos for about a minute or so then I’m fine.. Like them all.. The deal breaker for me between the new ES330 & USA Casino is, 1. The Beatle connection. 2. There hasn’t been a true USA Casino in forever. 3. ES330 isn’t available in Royal Tan with Nickel Chrome Dogear Covers..... 4. I can sing & play Harp to King Bee on my Casino’s just fine.... Fun song to do...

My Great Grandpa migrated legally from Sweden to Chicago as a teenage boy in the late 1800’s. He worked for the Chicago Rail Road his whole like & retired.. I still have his engraved retirement Rail Road Pocket Watch. He had a long retirement with his lifetime Sweet heart my Great Grandma who also migrated legally from Sweden to Chicago as a young woman. They were the greatest people I’ve ever known. One day, when he was in his 80’s, he went down to the local Tavern to play Cards with his friends & have a couple Beers as he did every week before a Baseball game.. Then he’d go home & sit by the Radio & listen to the game.. Then he would take a nap... One day he never woke up..... I sure do miss them... This Thread is really bringing back the memories...

Those who want off themselves aren’t serious or they would’ve already done it.. I have 2 close friends who already did it.. They didn’t talk big about it.. They didn’t talk about it at all.. They just did it.... It was an incredibly stupid waste.... It selfishly f#¥k$ up their Kids, Families & Friends.. What a cowardly thing to do.. It’s not funny, or cool or impressive.. It’s total stupidity...
