I tried Elixirs on a few of my Guitars & prefer D Addarios, Pyramid & Martin Retro Monels.. Elixirs are expensive & overrated IMO…

IMO it’s simple. It would be either a Martin D-28 Rosewood & Spruce or a Gibson J-45 Mahogany & Spruce.. The very best of both Worlds.. Play them both. Pick the one you like best.. Everything else comes after you have both of them…..

Gibson has Lifetime Guarantee on their Guitars if owned by the original Purchaser. I’d call & see if the Case is Covered as it was part of your New Purchase…

My Fender Telecaster, Phantom Brian Jones Teardrop, Phantom 12 String, Gibson Les Paul Special & my Gibson Les Paul Std Plus are all real Solid Body Guitars.. No Chambers. I have other Gibsons, Gretsch & Fenders that are Chambered. They are great! But, in reality they are Chambered Body Guitars not Solid Body Guitars..

Forget Webster… To each their own interpretation! Solid doesn’t mean Solid! It’s whatever it means to you! LOL!

Don’t many Les Pauls have a thin layer Maple Tops glued to a chambered Body? Isn’t, Chambered Body, just another way of saying the Body is hollowed out? Many believe the Chambered Bodies affect the Sound.

Even though they’re hollowed? Is the new definition for Solid; partially hollowed Air chambers?

Should Chambered Bodied Guitars, even without, F holes be considered Solid Bodies? Like many Les Pauls are for example.

GC’s we’re pretty great 15 years ago.. Since then they have chosen to carry more low end Guitars.. And less & less High end Guitars.. Great for those wanting something inexpensive but not much interest for those looking for High end Guitars.. About the only GC I’ve been to in recent years that knocked me out was in Hollywood, Ca..

These are smaller, inexpensive, light weight & P90’s are about as versatile as you can get..

Me too.. They still do their 55 point inspection & Set up at no charge.. While the Set ups may not be your personal preference, on the numerous Guitars I’ve bought from them, they’re always to Factory Specs.. Unless something happens in Shipping.. Which has never happened to me with Sweetwater. I’ve learned how to do my own Set ups so I can fine tune the Set up to my liking.. I recommend the OP & everyone learn to do their own Set ups. It doesn’t require great expense for tools & Youtube is your friend. If I can do it any one can..

Try holding a Guitar a foot in front of you (your arms will still be bent) & have someone take a full front close up Photo shot… Cameras can make interesting illipusions..

I think he’s holding it outward from his body creating an illusion…

I’d like to see the Epi Rivoli as well.. Instead of some of what Gibson is putting out right now…

Gibson changes their Guitars like the weather.. You can spend your life trying to figure them all out.. One with a good Spruce Top, Mahogany Sides & Back & an LR Baggs is a great J-45… No two sound exactly alike. Then the challenge is how can I play several to see which one sounds the best? Good luck!

I hope so.. I have a Gibson Bozeman Masterbilt J-160E I bought in 2000.. I’ve played it more than all the other Guitars I own.. I would like to get another new one like it… I’d also like Gibson to reissue the CF-100E which is essentially a J-160E with a Florentine Cutaway…

I’ve never worried about making too much money….
