  1. It seems like a great deal. I’m a pedal nerd and I’ve been paying close attention to this particular segment of the market and this is the most exciting thing I’ve seen come out in a long time
  2. Murph I took my truck in for an oil change yesterday and there was a guy about my age or younger who apparently had his Mercedes towed there with a flat tire. The mechanic installed the spare and told him the replacement would arrive tomorrow. imagine not knowing how to install a spare tire. Holy **** I feel old. It takes about 3 minutes with the emergency kit
  3. When I cook I know exactly what I’m eating except for my bread and tortillas. I’m too lazy to make them myself and I know they’re all full of chemicals and it sucks. You’re right they last a disturbing amount of time in the pantry
  4. Just preordered mine through sweetwater. It was about $215 with tax in California. I’ll let you guys know what I think of it when I get it.
  5. Thanks for sharing. Since I saw this has a headphone output I’m probably going to buy one I’ve been looking at various options for a good sounding amp sim I can use with headphones at home. Just about everything out there needs to connect to a computer and you have to download an app etc. I wonder how this will sell. Doesn’t seem like much interest here on this forum but this seems to be so precisely what I’ve been wanting I could imagine it being huge. There are several other well established competitors in this market but they all have complicated systems which really need to connect to a computer to fully utilize. I’ve been hesitant to buy a $400 pedal that ends up collecting dust because I’m too lazy to go through the whole process of firing it up when I just want to play guitar here we have something that’s plug and play, headphone output built in, and it comes with a few knobs that everybody understands in a form factor that everybody understands. This could be huge. You could really just bring a pedalboard and guitar to a gig and plug this straight into the mixer. There are other things like it but not this straightforward afaik
  6. In those videos you may not be able to see the object in great detail but you can’t compare its behavior to any known vehicle/object. It’s not fair to say you could be looking at anything. You know you aren’t looking at a known object, not based on the clarity of the footage, but based on the object’s behavior. Videos taken by fighter pilots using millions of dollars worth of the most advanced military technology have vastly higher credibility than anything that has ever been associated with Bigfoot or the Loch Ness monster etc Not trying to convince anyone one way or the other and obviously I have no authority on the matter anyways. Just trying to be objective about it
  7. My R9 came with a Costa Rica made Lifton style case and it’s the only thing I don’t like about the guitar. I wish they had an option to get a modern case instead. The guitar was shipped to me in that case though and it didn’t break so seems like it’s good enough
  8. Just watched the Hall/Fripp jam. What can I say… if that came on the radio I’d be so happy. I loved it
  9. Glad you pulled through and are still able to play guitar
  10. If I was drinking something I would have spit it out
  11. If you buy into the neck joint and the pickups’ magnetic pull on the strings affecting resonance/sustain then technically the single cut Jr just about the best possible choice I guess it’s safe to say you probably won’t find a tone scientist who tells you that removing wood from the neck joint and adding magnetic pull on the strings improves resonance or sustain
  12. Is this written by chatgpt? No, there is no enhancement of materials or construction.
  13. In a way that’s a high compliment to Daryl. Having a recognizable style and whatnot I liked the one where the Mexican lady showed them tacos
  14. The pick holder on the front of the guitar is not going to help the value. It would have been stupid to stick that to the back of the headstock but this is an abomination Look at the way the strings are wrapped around the tuning posts. This guitar has never been played by a musician. It has been banging around in some teenage Green Day fanboy’s bedroom since his parents bought it for his birthday It’s hard to say with these grainy badly lit photos but from what I can see and infer I would pay like $350 for that guitar It is safe to say that the current owner of this guitar knows nothing about playing, modifying, or caring for a guitar. So I have to assume that they are incapable of describing anything about the guitar which may affect its value. In other words I’d have to see it in person all cleaned up and assess it from there. It’s obvious that the owner has no interest in playing this guitar. It’s not an expensive model and it’s not in good condition. Just take whatever you can get for it and move on.
  15. Frank was definitely a gear head. Pretty much everything listed is either an absolute classic or something that would have been extremely high end when it was originally purchased if you know anything about studio gear you are looking at some serious $$$ right here even without the Zappa affiliation
  16. Let’s be honest her music is weapons grade psychological torture type dogshit That could easily replace water boarding in Guantanamo but it’d be too unethical If I were forced to listen to her music I would do anything to kill myself
  17. Me too. One of my helpers that used to work with me carried a Leatherman multitool all the time. We probably worked together about 2 or 3 years and I guess my experience is that the only useful thing on it is the bottle opener On an actual jobsite I would never be so unprepared that a multitool would be useful. If I was in nature with nothing else then a multi tool would be handy
  18. I actually really only use the Carvin for bass. With guitar it sounds really good on the normal channel especially if you can get some power tube distortion going. The dirt channel just feels a little off on guitar, I’ve heard it can be modded to be a lot better but it’s also pretty easy to just use a dirt pedal
  19. I have a Carvin X100B half stack and it’s a badass amp. You get 100W of EL34 goodness, a parametric EQ, spring reverb, and a push pull pot that engages a sortof boost or overdrive mode. A powerful amp like this is really versatile. Unlike a smaller amp which will distort at the volume levels needed to play with drums and bass, this can do it all. As clean as you want, as dirty as you want, as loud as you want
  20. I’ve been a member here since 2007. I’ve seen all good people turn their heads each day
  21. These guys are absolutely running a scam. I have even seen their reps claim that every guitar is personally built by that one Zager guy. So if we believe that obviously this Zager guy is the single most prolific luthier of all time. He doesn’t sleep or eat, he’s just banging out the best quality acoustics at record speed for bargain prices. Ooooor maybe he opens a box from Asia and slaps a sticker in the sound hole and turns a screw here and files a slot there if you’re lucky Last time we saw Zager here he hit us with some classic spam and created multiple accounts to post fake reviews. It was so stupid it was embarrassing. Out of the blue a new account is spamming Zager. Then suddenly people are creating new accounts to make their only post on this forum a glowing review of their favorite Zager product
  22. That’s probably the worst example you could have chosen but you were just misguided by their deceptive marketing Zager buys guitars from China they don’t make anything. Some asshat from Zager posts spam here about once a year
  23. This is a necropost that got bumped by a spambot
  24. The original was cooler with the carved maple back but I have no idea how the electronics are supposed to be maintained. It must have some hidden way to access the electronics. If I ignore the first version of the Supreme and take the new one at face value I like it. It’s a nice looking guitar. I’m not going to buy one but I think Gibson did a good job. The heel carving from the Axcess is cool
