I have an ES-339, and it will remain with me until the day I die. I love that guitar!

I have a 1975 reissue I purchase backed in 1994. Looks very similar to this, with the exception of a maple neck and a natural finish. The binding and the block inlays is what does it for me. I love that thing, it plays nice and the sound is kick ***. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine!

I have seen other owners come in here with similar issues in that same spot or cracks where the head meets the neck. I never seen in those posts what exactly the issues were, or what may have caused those cracks, just speculation. Are you the original owner of the guitar? If so, I would think this would be covered under the "Limited Life Time Warranty". I would give Gibson Customer Service a call.
