charlie brown
Just shows to go ya...at the "End," there will be Cockroaches, Keith Richards, and Twinkies, left! At least Keith, and the roaches, will have something to consume! Keep them well preserved, and high, on sugar! CB
STEVIL
How long were they out of circulation? I've been going to the US on holiday since 1998, and don't ever recall seeing them on the shelves. Maybe I just didn't look hard enough? I know I should have read the link first!! DOH!

rocketman
I heard that one of the endings for Planet of the Apes was to replace the Statue of Liberty with a Twinkie.

brundaddy
Just shows to go ya...at the "End," there will be Cockroaches, Keith Richards, and Twinkies, left! And Peavey amps (and they'll still work). FYI the vulture capital group, "Apollo," behind this also owns Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Twang Gang
Twinks made in Chicago and the sad thing wasn't the loss of the item, but the loss of the jobs. Twinkie is just tasteless sponge cake with mediocre cream filling - any food manufacturer could make them if they wanted to. But with the new company I doubt that anyone got their job back. <_<
