Marshall equivalent of blues jr

Hey folks - I began my guitar career as a fender strat guy into a blues jr.  Over time things happen, sold my strat - took over my wife's SG and now I'm an SG guy.  I still play it through my blues jr and have no issues - but I'm  under the impression gibsons pair well with Marshalls - so figured I'd look at other ways to spend money.  Is there a specific marshall amp that would be in the same family as the blues jr?  Thanks for any input.

you'd probably be looking at something in the Marshall Studio product set or one of the small DSL combos

Small Studio combo : https://marshall.com/marshall-amps/products/amps/studio/sc20c  Made in UK IIRC (Kind of expensive)

Small DSL combo : https://marshall.com/marshall-amps/products/amps/dsl/dsl5c  Made in China  (bout the cost of a Blues Jr)

There are solid state (MG Series) but if you want something to comp a blues Jr.  you'd be in the Tube market.

MG15: https://marshall.com/marshall-amps/products/amps/mg-gold/mg15  All MGs are solid state, and made in Asia.  around $300

Thank you - I'd like to stay with tubes, so will check out the top two...  appreciate the input!

the Studio's are nice.  There's a silver jubilee version too.  but the B Jr comparable sized Studio's are like 3X the cost of the DSL or B. Jr.

but hey,, it's only money right?

A Marshall DLS will knock your socks off!! Had a Blues Jr., I prefer the DLS MUCH more.

yea, If I didn't need another amp like I needed a second but hole,  one would be sitting in my studio room.

Definitely more bang for the buck.  two channels, and some voicing options.

The Studio's are really nice, but they are expensive,  and don't offer on board "verb"..  (not a show stopper, but would be nice to have)

you might try a Marshall Slash 5 watt model from a few years ago, I used one at home for 2 years and enjoyed it.Kinda like the bjr with MORE... Marshall SL5 is the model...

I know its not a Marshall, but I had a Mesa TA-15 that is switchable form 5/15/25 watts and had switches that were made to voice it like a Vox, Marshall and of course the Mesa sound. Its a small lunch box head, so you would need a cab.  I rarely took it off  the 5 watt setting and on the 25 you could barley tell the difference from the 15 watt. A freind has the stouter version TA-30. I think that switched 15/30/40 watts. The 30 has reverb and a fx loop where the 15 is void. She lives in a townhouse and I'll bet her neighbors love her.
