kidblast
wow, in the words "long may you run" Loretta ran it. My old man had the biggest crush on her, he wouldn't admit it, but the # of albums with her on in the house told a different story. RIP Ms Lynn. kelly campbell
She was a unique story and a great songwriter. My parents both liked her mainly because they were from the same area. R.I.P.

Very few left that represent what she stood for……Met her years ago in Nashville. It was just for a minute, but she was very gracious and friendly. Just like we need folks like her to actually be. Whitefang
We stopped by her Hurricane Mills ranch on our way home from Laredo Texas back in '91. Could barely find a parking spot. But as we were slowly walking to the house we saw her out there talking to all the other tourists. She glanced up in our direction and shouted, "Y'all step lively and get UP here!" with a huge smile on her face. And she was talking to everyone there as if we were all family come for a visit. The world shines a little less now. She will be missed. Whitefang

Murph
She earned it with God given talent and hard work. People weren't "discovered" in those days, they had to earn it. Hense the longevity of their careers.
