GibsonTradPro
After 6 long months she's finally here, first it was a nightmare in the begining cause I purchased a "JCM800 2210" from GC and when it got home it turned out to be a 2205, dirtier than in a pig in mud (I'm not exaggerating), then returned it, shortly there after I was on the search again, I wanted a JCM800 2210 but both my heart and Gibby wanted a VM 2466, but still I searched High and Low, in both eBay and CL, for a 2210 and NOTHING! so I searched for VM on eBay and NOTHING in my price range. Then I went to CL and I found this...$800, retubed, and foot switch.

NeoConMan
I purchased a "JCM800 2210" from GC and when it got home it turned out to be a 2205' date=' dirtier than in a pig in mud (I'm not exaggerating) [/quote'] Another customer got fxcked at Guitar Center? Say it ain't so! In my twenty years of dealing with that "chain of fools" I've never heard of such a thing occurring - ever! [blink] Sorry the 2210 thing didn't work out, a buddy of mine has one and won't sell it to me to match my 2203. The 2205 is the one I'd really like to have, shame Guitar Center didn't collapse in this economic slump. When the world comes to an end, all that will be left is cockroaches - and Guitar Centers to hire them. Good luck with the new amp! I know a guy who has a VM for sale, I think it's a 2766 - if that number is correct. 50 watts? Pristine.

cwness
Sorry to say Neo my 2266 is not for sale. LOL Why aren't you buying it. They are a great match with the 800jcm's. CW
NeoConMan
Why didn't I buy the Vintage Modern? I guess my focus is more on the "vintage" end of things, I don't really need any of the "modern" features. I'm looking at older and older amps to add to the collection... :- Seriously, he woulda made me a smoking deal on it. It was with the Marshall A cab that I bought to finish my stack - all I wanted was the cabinet. Wife's orders here, she's the one who told me I needed to get a matching A cab instead of my Peavey A cab. She thinks it looks much better when the components all match.... If I was playing gigs where I needed it, I'd probably go for it. But for the purposes of collectibility, my focus is elsewhere.
myspace.com/jessenoah
every house should have a marshall full stack in the living room, even if the guy living there isnt a musician :- and I agree about the not matching the house, time to re-toilex the walls in marshall purple! Dub-T-123
That Strat on the left really shows how massive a full stack is. 96 inches of speaker right in your face.

Andre S
My local store has a 30W Marshall 2266 combo for sale... and a JVM 410H paired with a 1960 Vintage Series Cabinet.... Its too pricey for me. 2266 is 1875 US 410H head and cab is 3125 US... Pity, I never did try the 410H...I wanted too though...the urge to plug into a Marshall half-stack was there. but the last time I was there it was to see if they could fix my guitar...(I did in the end) I had it...but it wasn't working...sighs
