brad - I chose a '96 Sheraton over a 335 based on cost' date=' and to me it felt and sounded not far short of some of the 335s I tried. Now I am going to play it a while, [b']but I am not going to comment on how good it is in my humble opinion because Nelson will only rant at me if I do.[/b] And I am not going to change my opinion about Americans because of one bad-mouthing from you. Bellicose brad, somebody said.....

Oh - and before you fire off the barrage, please note the following.

I did not say the Samick Sherry was BETTER than the 335s

(I said it felt and sounded not far short of the 335s)

And damn it all Jeffery - I do NOT blame anybody but the leaders for their errors, and not just American but world-wide too (look at our recent dicks - Blair then Brown, unbelievable.....).

That's the kind of thinking I was talking about in the other thread, man... Don't be afraid to post your opinions of your guitar! If you love it, and you are proud of it, then by all means, post pics and sing your praises. Screw anybody who tries to say your opinion of your own guitar is "wrong"... The only time I would side with Nelson et al would be when someone is making ridiculous claims that epis are superior to gibsons, or something to that effect. If you're saying it's better for your needs, I can totally relate to that. Just look at the list of 300 dollar knockoffs in my sig, LOL. If you're saying that an epi is better than the gibby equivalent IN GENERAL, then that I have a problem with, as did Nelson. I think the communication problem came from people not understanding the difference between the two, honestly.

yeah he's right. we have free speech for a reason and everyone is entitled to their opinion, so im gonna "Break the ice" by saying this:

My Riviera is BETTER then a 335, better then any other guitar on the planet.

opinionate that.

Why is that unreasonable? I have a late run Korean made and the quality is much higher compared to my more recent China-mades. This is not to say I don't like my EEs' date=' they're great, but my Samick is noticeably better, so is Nelson really being "whiny" or is he just making an observation he really feels strongly about.[/quote']

I did not say it was either reasonable or unreasonable, I was just merely stating what I have seen about Nelson. If you want my opinion, yes, I tend to agree with him and yourself, it is very reasonable for a customer to want to get more for their hard earned money.

Could we please just stay away from personal judgements and analysis. Nobody here really KNOWS anyone else here' date=' so cut the crap, everyone. Nelson feels one way, Gen0 feels another, TWANG feels another, I feel another. Chill. The. Hell. Out. I'm really getting tired of thread after thread of judgement calls and "You owe me an apology"

I swear, you MUST have gone to kindergarten or pre-school, just remember what we were taught "If you can't say anything nice (or even neutral at this point) just keep your mouth shut."[/quote']

Guitars are ALL about personal judgement! Some people like hollowbodies, others like the LP, others like the SG. Even within an LP, there are many ways to configure it, that you can get an entirely different guitar in the end, with different necks, pickups, wiring methods, double cutaways, etc. Still, eveyone that posts here likes something so completely different than everyone else, yet we can still come to a forum like this and give our opinions about guitars.

If you look up something such as a pickup upgrade, you can research a company like Seymour Duncan, SD will tell you that a lot of their pickups have a "vintage sound". What the hell does that mean? Does it mean, rockabilly vintage?, vintage blues?, vintage 60's british? vintage rock?, vintage metal? or even vintage grunge? (I am kidding on the last one). It is only from sites like this that you can come and ask someone "what will these pickups sound like on my LP?", or "what pickups do I need for an LP to play Led Zep?" or "do I need rails, P90s, etc" and get a straight unbiased answer than you would get from SD's marketing information. SD will just tell you that all their pickups are just wonderful and they will never admit that any of their models are inferior to other pickups on the market. Sites like this will allow to ask others about their opinion who have gone through it before, done the upgrade to their guitar and can give you their opinion on how it all turned out, and in my book, real experience counts a lot!

"I want to kill. I mean, I wanna, I wanna kill. Kill. I wanna, I wanna see,

I wanna see blood and gore and guts and veins in my teeth. Eat dead burnt bodies.

I mean kill, Kill, KILL, KILL." And I started jumpin up and down yelling, "KILL, KILL," and

he started jumpin up and down with me and we was both jumping up and down

yelling, "KILL, KILL." And the sargent came over, pinned a medal on me,

sent me down the hall, said, "You're our boy."

You really have some issues you should deal with' date=' instead of putting down Americans buddy.

Get some thicker skin, or perhaps you shouldn't put yourself through such torture here.

Oh, and one more thing, Bush was NOTHING like Nixon.

All bow to GUITARS!

P.S. You talk about "hissy-fitters". Man you sound like a little kid having one major hissy-fit yourself. Grow Up.[/quote']

Dude, you are the KING of hissy fits on this forum.

First brad' date=' you [u']ain't[/u] my buddy. And with smart-alec posts like that you ain't going to be either.

Second brad, read the post - it says but I don't think so. I have, do and will support America and Americans until the sun goes out for good. I've done it to Europeans and Arabs, I've even been beaten up for it in the middle-east.

Third, if I came on here and butted into a discussion between you and some other poster about something you had actually done and called you a liar, how would you react. Seriously, tell me, I am fascinated, here, lets try it right now.

brad - you are a liar. Bush was just like Nixon in that they both lied to their electorate.

give me one instance of bush lying then. that's all i need to agree with you. just one. fetch, boy.

Sorry' date=' by "held accountable" I meant more like "officially accused".

If I wasn't sleeping in history class, I was thumbing through a musician's friend catalog, LOL. My Nixon knowledge goes about as far as "something to do with Watergate, 'I am not a crook', and impeachment proceedings before he resigned." As far as Bush, it looks like his entire legacy is going to be "supposedly kept us 'safer' after 9-11, wrecked our economy, left is with a mess and went home scott free".

Of course, I'm sure political discussion puts this thread on the fast track outta here...[/quote']wrecked the economy? the "recession" was said to have started in 2007- before that we actually had a very good economy. so what happened that screwed it up? the last 2 years of his administration had a democratic congress. a democratic congress with a republican president doesn't really work that well, because he can't do anything, and they can't do anything. now, the democratic congress is trying to pass about a trillion dollars worth of spending under the guise of a stimulus, when most of it is actually going to pork! you tell me who "wrecked our economy"

a single person can't do it. it takes quite a few people.

But Yankees have redeemed themselves by electing a guy who has already admitted publicly to having "screwed up". As for Bush' date=' being a liar was perhaps his least horrible trait. But there are so many horrible traits from which to choose.

Please don't blame Americans for the errors of our "leaders" (we need to take the word leader out of the president's job description). Most Americans didn't vote for Bush either time. We have a voting machine issue that needs addressing.............[/quote']

HA! Obama hasn't admitted to being a socialist, and that's his biggest "screw up."

Bush may have been stupid/mislead/a bad leader but he didn't lie.

and if you want to talk voting fraud i have one word: acorn.

oh, and name a few horrible traits, it might help this horrible thread die.

How about Sadaam has weapons of mass destruction?

How about his claim that he reacted immediately after Katrina by sending rescuers to get people off of roof tops? For the record, he didn't send anyone for 6 days, and everyone was pretty much off his/her rooftop by then.
