Californiaman
Although I've never really been a fan of the band Toto's music, I must say Steve Lukather is a quality guitarist. Just caught a portion of them playing on Direct TV and Lukather really impressed me. He played flawless runs up and down the neck of the guitar. The rest of the band wasn't that bad either. If you get a chance to catch it on the 101 it's worth just leaving the music on and listening to.
DanvillRob
I went to see Toto once and when I clicked my heels together, I ended up in a corn field in Kansas!
Big Bill
He is an awesome guitarist. However, I was driven totally nuts by the song "Draw the Line" when I was in high school. To this day that song scrapes a nerve. The other song from that era that makes my tummy rumble is Michael McDonald's "What a fool believes". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9f-cEM1l7Ks
Californiaman
His chord phrasings were jazzy and melodic too. I went to see Toto once and when I clicked my heels together, I ended up in a corn field in Kansas! Zing!
Riverside
I kinda like some of the old Toto stuff... But someone here recently posted a vid of him playing with Satch, and it was so bad that it made the "(insert name here) shreds" videos look like Mozart's Requiem. Silenced Fred
Great musicians, Lukather is an amazing player. Haven't listened to them in a while though, time to bust out the old collection
bluesguitar65
Love his work with ToTo. Great player, but at one point his guitar tone started to sound like crap with all that processing he used and his playing went down hill. Check this video out with Jeff Beck. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etzBXz30LQU
Cataplasm
Toto is certainly a group of talanted musicians, and if i am not mistaken they were all acomplished session musicians long before Toto came to be.
sparky scott 29
For some reason, me, like a lot of you guys, liked the song Africa, but only the first 100,000 times.... NOT after that though!!
Jeff-7
I like Hold the Line and Africa, that's about the extent of my knowledge on them I'm afraid. I'm a big fan of Andy Mckee's rendition.

Jeff-7
Well of course, it was on the in store music channel at the grocery store I worked at during college. All the vastly annoying songs I was forced to hear while working pretty much ruined anything decent played on it.
