(Some) of my favorites are: Chrissie Hynde Gracie Slick Janis Joplin Etta James...etc. Norah Jones Bonnie Raitt But, there are loads of others, I like a LOT, too. How about you? Joan Baez was exceedingly fine in a number of styles. Karen Dalton was pretty well known and kinda was prior somewhat to Dylan in the New York scene.
