chase1410
Ugh I want one of those straps, is it nice and padded? I have a standard Levy's nylon one right now and I find with my explorer after about an hour and a half of slinging the guitar it seems to build a pressure point on my shoulder that causes my left arm to go numb and make me think I am having a heart attack. VERY padded...perfect for my heavy and light guitars alike...Pull the trigger man...You'll love one!
neilpanda
I use the straps that come with guitar hero guitars just kidding, I use long & mcquade leather straps. I think theyre made by perri's leather...
retrosurfer1959
Im kind of in the middle I probably have 30-40 straps a little bit of everything from modern levy or planet waves nylon colored straps to custom made one-off leather straps. Almost every guitar gets a thin levy style Nylon strap rolled up in the case and every acoustic guitar get's a custom strap other than that I just pick a strap I feel like off a towel rack in the studio that is covered in straps. Tthe woven leather strap on top of the pile in this picture is by far my favorite, is was made from turn of the century used bridal straps from England and is buttery soft and comfortable. Some guitars just need a matching strap though

fray
Good information, what recommendations are out there for strap locks, Les Pauls and 335s? Thanks, Fred in Texas

I think theyre made by perri's leather... No joke. My friend has 3 PRS Custom Shop jobbies (well whatever they are, but he got em customized with different pickups and aesthetic stuff) and he was using the guitar hero strap that comes on the little POS plastic guitars. I gave him a strap
MrNylon
I do well with the wide leather levys strap for the bass.
ChanMan
I'm kinda like TG, every guitar has it's own strap. Not necessarily color-coded, but pretty much each one chosen for the specific guitar. I have no brand loyalty :)
retrosurfer1959
I have a couple of the mono straps they are very comfortable I just like the secure and tighter feeling of a leather strap on a guitar. The wallet is a different story wonder if that is as thin and comfortable as it looks in the above post by chase1410? I can never find a wallet I really like there either too thick or they don't hold enough or something I finally made my own, even put a small zippered pouch to hold a few pick's but it's too big and it's kind of like carrying a hockey puck in your pocket. First time I ever painted leather though it comes out pretty good.

I find all they have at the time and buy the one that I think looks realy good with the new guitar. 7 straps so far.

LP_Studio_FTW
I've actually made my own guitar strap out of two leather belts couple of days ago. It's really comfortable and wasn't that expensive either(around $25) http://i56.tinypic.com/2q3cg9h.jpg http://i56.tinypic.com/29ffqlf.jpg http://i55.tinypic.com/2j5nwbk.jpg http://i56.tinypic.com/2gwx1lt.jpg http://i52.tinypic.com/30ifk93.jpg
