Disappointing loss tonight. Disappointed in Luongo especially. but it was a hell of a ride.

Good Season and great congrats to Timmy Thomas and the crew. I guess it's back to studying

for my finals, on the bright side of things...school ends this week! [biggrin]

Two great teams.

Only one team can win. I was pulling for Vancouver because of the Canadian factor.

Too bad a bunch of imbeciles decided to wreck everything.

These idiots don't seem to understand that they will get caught. Everyone has a camera now.

I'd like to see their cars set on fire and homes destroyed.

Being young is no excuse for stupidity.

Thats my rant for the day.

They play that game on ice, right? How do they keep from falling down and running into each other?

They do fall down and run into each other. Its on ice for gosh sakes. Why do you think all that equipment is used? And those hard rubber things they chase around and hit with a bent stick can really hurt too. [biggrin][biggrin]

Boston played better plain and simple and I wish people could just accept that. I put a lot of blame on the city of Vancouver for not thinking ahead, skip back to 1994 and see what happened it was much worse; however one thing the city should have taken from it was not to allow large groups of people to gather in the downtown core to watch a stanley cup game but nooooooooooooooooooooo. Here is a direct picture of some of the carnage before I got the fark outta there. Its sad to see people destroy other peoples property for something that doesnt even effect their lives, truely moronic. This stuff is plastered all over social media sites and in the news, people will quickly forgive the Cancuks, but the fans farked themselves good this time. As for me I got home safe, and will continue to be a Canucks fan, life goes on.

This is rediculous. Canadian authorities need a lesson in crowd control. I was at a Canada Post facility yesterday to make a Proposal Presentation to CPC Purchasing and we got LOCKED-IN by striking people and the police didn't do anything about it until the CPC HR department negotiated our release. Then we were led out in groups (single file) with only a few police officers there to escort us through the line. Yes we were illegally held captive for about 4-hours.

Sorry for hi-jacking the thread, just wanted to rant a little. I still love RUSH.

Im with all of you here. I can easily forgive the canucks for the loss. but the fans...not so much

its a shame to see that authorities didnt do enough to even prepare for the riot. win or lose there

was a planned riot going to happen. fans of boston even lost their lives because of our ignorant fans.

right now, I am very embarrased to say that I live in vancouver.

Dude the whole team played horribly last night. They didn't deserve to win and it shouldn't be put on Luongo by himself...

I blame Lu for the series. Game six was the tipping point. They had a chance to put the final nails in Boston's coffin, but Lu was a sieve. Honorable mention goes to the Sedins for being MIA the *whole* series.

But I didn't cry last night. My fellow Michigan native Timmy Thomas won the Conn Smythe.

Sorry to the city of Vancouver for the few idiots that destroyed downtown. Honeymooned there in 2008 and fell in love with the place.

I would have started punching people, and getting really violent. The postal workers have no reason to strike anyways, they are paid good, get benefits and are usually off work by 3pm, they are just whiners. I yelled at them the other day cause they have a main office about a block away I made it known that I do not support there stupid cause. Yesterday they came up the street to get people to try and honk for them and support there rally, which funny enough not a single person did, whats that tell ya. But they kept shouting and screaming "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" at the top of there lungs people on the other side of my phone could hear them. I went outside and started yelling at them to shut up cause people had businesses to run and werent on a childish strike like some other d-bags.

Nope, didn't want to start an International Incident. I'm not even a CPC employee, just an innocent by-stander. I'm a US citizen, and I was with a group of other US citizen collegues. All we wanted to do is get out and get our flights back to good ole' US of A. Didn't want to stoop to their level. In the end, I'm still getting paid for my job with benefits, they're not...

For the record....i have two buddies who are postal workers. Neither of them WANT to be on strike. You think its up to the individual postal workers to decide that? The Union leaders do that...

My one buddy has two kids to feed and is the only breadwinner in the house...he wants back to work!

Some people are jerks, plain and simple...Americans, Canadians, Brits (Matt Sear! [flapper])

LP, sorry that happened to you man...what province were you in?

I can hear ya there, nothing good would come of it, but if you illegally detain people like a d-bag you better expect something like that to happen. I mean if your not an employee or a scab then there is not reason for them to act like a d-bag, in my opinion postal service is an essential service so they cant get mad at someone for going into a post office.

Yes its the Union that decided to go on strike, but this is something everyone who applies for a union job needs to take into realization when they apply for the job. I hate unions, I am not in one now and I never want to be in one again, I worked for Superstore when I was a kid, superstore is a subsidiary of Loblaws I had to pay the union dues for the 3 month probationary period, but could not benefit from the union in this time. I worked graveyards stocking both the Snack Food aisle and the Pet Food aisle, so all the heaviest crap, I could fully stock and face both aisles in 6 hours by myself so I was a hard worker, never missed a day of work, heck I have worked at my current job for 5 years and havent missed a single day yet. About two weeks before I would have been in the union I goto check my schedule and there was nothing posted, ok I got some time off, go back in the next day to double check and still nothing, go in two days later and there is a new schedule, right on I write down my hours and go home. I show up for my first shift and my superviser comes up to me and says "Your Fired, Go Home" and I was like huh? I was 10 mins early to my shift and couldnt figure it out. Apparently I had abonded my job, the couple days I didnt goto work I was apparenltly supposed to be working but had no posted schedule. I asked why I was never called and told I was missing shifts and they said the phone numbers I gave them on my application didnt work, now I was really confused, your telling me my mothers phone number which was the same for like 17 years didnt work, strange...So I asked to see my application I wanted to know what phone number they were using, well to my dismay it wasnt even the application I filled out, it was all written in nice cursive script (I cant handwrite wrote crap, heck my normal writing is chicken scratch...I'm a guy!) My mothers name was filled out as Nina, her name is Michaela how could I screw that one up? Both my mothers phone number and my cell phone number were wrong, they werent even a Canadian number. I told them that it wasnt even the application I filled out and my supervisor and the store manager both smirked and said well it must be because its what we have on file. I lost it at that point and was like "Ok first off my moms name is Michaela (Mish-a-ayla, its German) not Nina,. secondly those arent even Canadian area codes and lastly if I ever see either of you outside of this store prepare to be horribly assulted" then I walked out and went job hunting.

^^ And you didn't call? :) [flapper]

Wish I had time for personal stuff on a business trip. As you can imagine, this was even more hectic than a normal business trip. I was supposed to also drive up to Montreal for a visit at the CPC facility, but obviously that got cancelled.
