Riffster
Just got back, my wife is 7 months pregnant but was a good sport and went with me. A lot of new models from Gibson, Epiphone and Kramer actually. Parked at Gibson USA. Checked in and a shuttle took us to the Custom Shop. A tent full of goodness

Shnate McDuanus
Looks fun. It looks like they're bringing out some excellent new models! I wonder what good ol' Neo would have to say about that 12-string SG?
Riffster
Thats awesome, i see they brought back a old gibby. How was the 12 string SG? Yea some old models in there, I was surprised. Some of these guitars are being shown at NAMM as well. The 12-sting SG is perfect the neck is very comfortable, the profile is great and being maple it feels pretty solid on the hand. I don't know how they did it but they fit 12 string in a comfortable neck, I could even pick the strings well and that is never easy to me. The guitar is just great. Riffster
Yea that SG, the truss rod cover says Tweedy. Also, it has a natural neck, in color and finish, as if it was stripped and oiled.

Riffster
Something I noticed is that like 80% of all models had a very similar neck profile, these are showroom models so they just may make them that way. The Silverburst Explorer had a thick neck while a Sammy Hagar Explorer (not pictured) had the normal thin Explorer profile. Even the Epiphone Casinos had a thicker wider neck, I would love mine if it had a neck like that. The Gibson Midtown has a really nice neck with great access to the higher frets, the dot inlays look kind of trippy since they are clear and mirrored at the bottom so they look sunk but in reality they are flush with the fretboard, definitely cool.
