BigKahune
. That's about the most knuckleheaded story I've ever read. What a dumb a$$ - he doesn't even know what the hell has been used as a finish. A damaged Norlin with unknown repairs and unknown finish - I wouldn't give 25¢ for that one. . <_< OTOH, some sucker will probably buy it. . . EuroAussie
You'd think he's selling the case rather than the guitar from the pics ... Ill give him $10 for the case, he can keep the guitar ..

I think the case is a more valuable than the guitar, but even that's not worth much. I've got a case pretty much like that one of the same vintage sitting in a box in the garage. Not valauble enough to bother trying to sell it.
The G
Absolutely, unequivocally, without any reservations I have to say that is one butt ugly guitar. "What were you thinkin' ? " certainly comes to mind.

TommyK
He is playing fast and loose with the term, "Original" and "That's all I've done to it." Maybe you could call it an original Gibson case that also includes a... a.... Looks like that faux stone finish they sell in rattle cans. This style of finish is necessarily T-H-I-C-K. All that stone finish is hiding a LOAD of damage, and it's flaking off. Offer him the price of a 'vintage' case and be done with it. Best to vacuum out the case real good. That faux stone finish chips are abrasive.
retrorod
Perhaps the "repair dude" was trying to give it a ROLLING STONES 'vibe'...... Nice case, though B)
BluesKing777
Perhaps the "repair dude" was trying to give it a ROLLING STONES 'vibe'...... Nice case, though B) Ha Ha! Rod... Rolling Bits Of Stones in the case! And a few bits of Stones on the floor after it crashed off the stage.... Would Elvis have taken it under his wing? ABBA? I must admit that an acoustic guitar I had when I was a kid got the purple speckle treatment after a school friend introduced me to speckle paint spray cans! I liked it a lot, and I think the girls did TOO! Perhaps they were laughing at me? BluesKing777.
