  1. L&M offer free curb side pickup, and I think some free home delivery You should call your local store for pickup hours. I dropped a rental this way, and picked up a Airturn pedal this way.
  2. other than Long and McQuade.. I don't think I know of any guitar parts company in Canada. but they can get you just about anything. or try Amazon.ca you'd be surprised what you can get in a day mostly at reasonable prices.. some awful prices too. if you purchase from the USA and it's under a certain amount it's duty free (think around $20. unless they upped it to $50).. also when ordering from the USA.. avoid couriers.. UPS/FedEx/Purolator they all charge a brokerage fee that's absolutely obscene. stick to USPS the plain old postal system. and many times goes uninspected so no duty at all
  3. I've never seen the bridge saddles all the way to the back before. Something says to me there is another problem not addressed and a heavier guage string won't address this
  4. Normally people put in the title of their post like a subject..ie SG sharp on chords not normally their name. But you comment on open position chords are sharp, Don't press the strings all the way to the fret board.
  5. A few topics here on static. Gibson and others mentioned to use dryer sheets on the plastic covers on the back. Some knock it up to the nitro drying and reacting to the clothes until it dries more
  6. I like RS Guitar Works Pots https://rs-guitarworks.myshopify.com/collections/rs-vintage-upgrade-kits Pricey but you can use 1 to 3 and 8 to 10 on the dial. unlike the 'standard' pots
  7. Dater project says, either Feb 5, 2011 #582 or 2014 #11088 But very little info
  8. Always the nut behind the strings. Sorry had too 😶
  9. Although this is a Gibson forum. Many of us have more than 1 guitar. Stated last week the Fender Guitar forum will shutdown March 20, 2020. Join in other social media such as Facebook and Twitter
  10. Gibson released a statement saying they're not suing Heritage Guitar They said they "reminded Heritage of their contract they signed when the two split up"
  11. There is a single screw on either side of the pickup and a spring on the underside of the screw to the pickup base plate to provide tension.
  12. I see Long & Mcquade showing a B2 And Steve's music Toronto showing the TRB Gig By description can't tell whe the difference is, you'll have to go to the stores https://www.long-mcquade.com/136236/Guitars/Electric-Guitars/Gibson/Explorer-B-2-Satin-Ebony.htm?ref=suggestive-search https://stevesmusic.com/en/gibson-explorer-trb-gig-dsxb219-s.html
  13. Oh at first I hadn't seen what you're talking about, Strings seemed over the poles of the pickups. Wasn't till I zoomed in on your nut. Maybe post a big clear picture of the nut hosted by imgur.com or something instead of the thumbnail provided by the forum. Yeah I'd make them fix it
  14. Also remember he used a variac to lower the input AC voltage to get that mushy "brown" sound Of course he knew nothing about tube bias and fry the tubes

Without any puctures, It'd be close to guessing what color car you have. And subject line same as your user name doesn't help
  16. My guitars have picked me, I don't pick them. I walk into a store wander around, don't get any feeling. Next day walk into the same store wander around don't get any feeling. One walk in, one day, and a guitar whispers try me. That's the one I pick up. Could take months of this process
  17. They won't reissue the COA See the responses in the Custom section
  18. Don't think there's anything to "worry " other then some light esthetic. Bindings are put on, guitar is stained/painted/nitro lacquer, then bindings are scrapped by hand with a razor blade. Its possible to have some stain /lacquer residue
  19. There are 2 points for the pickup to pivot on. Put a block of foam in the pickup cavety when the pickup is lowered it compresses the foam and keeps the pickup from twisting
  20. Hmm the Google drive link worked the other day. I do remember seeing a guitar with a volute at the back of the head stock. But we need pictures posted from a more permanent source
  21. Hard to see when I zoom in the picture gets blurry. But they have to join 2 coils of wire together somehow to make it a humbucker pickup I suspect you're seeing that connection as there are no pickup covers on the pickup
  22. Let's just say from May 11, 2011 and Jan 2, 2020 (9years) that the original poster has bought a guitar
  23. If it's the exact same guitar that's "only" $300 off, and GC is still going to make a profit as its called "mark up" You buy something mark it up 200%, then once in a while put out a 25% sale. Also GC gets back a lot of returns, sometimes for stupid little things, easy to put that out on a "inventory blow out sale" as well
