  1. In my experience, a repaired cracked neck tends to cut the resale value in half and can take quite a while to sell.
  2. My 57 Chevy Wagon in the background was the same color as the OP's. It was the Band Wagon in 71, seen here unloading at a political rally with drum cases on the roof. Also just in front was one of our guitarist's Bug. and of course a friendly cop behind..
  3. This is "Bill", he chooses to live outdoors where he can keep an eye on things, while chasing dogs and cats out of his territory.
  4. Sun streaking cold An old man wandering lonely Taking time the only way he knows Leg hurting bad As he bends to pick a dog-end He goes down to the bog and warms his feet
  5. I get startled when I see my Dad staring back at me when I walk past a mirror.
  6. I retired in 2016 and got my retirement car. So when I get up I go out and look at its engine to see if theres anything to do. not finding anything, I make room in my trunk and pack then we (me and my retirement car) go exploring for a nice place to visit and find a shady spot with very few people I get home and blonde lady is driving her RC car a day in the life of retirement, stay busy
  7. Hmmm.. There might be advantage with the Ibanez bolt-on neck, it would be easier ti fix if one goes bad..
  8. When you first paste your image link into your post there will be a grey bar at the bottom that says "Your link has been automatically imbedded". "Display as link instead" If you click on the grey bar the image will display as a Link and not a pic. Don't click on it and just enter the text part of your message and the grey bar will go away and the image will remain..
  9. I used 9's for a very long time and loved them, they are easier on the fingers. My working band friends convinced me to go to 10's and my fingers bled for a couple of weeks but I got used to them. 10's are a little harder to stretch but if your SG has a slim taper neck, the neck will be more stable. If its a rounded style 9's will fly like butter.
  10. Having great success with my Hum Debugger, If you have any trouble when you really push the gain using any type of Pickup, Single Coils or Humbuckers, this Hum Eliminator just simply removes the noise. My Sans Amp pedal has 3 inline OD's and finding I am able to explore new ranges of sound I couldn't use before because they just created too noise.
  11. I added a roller bridge to my 339 because of the extreme string angle the ES's have and I also added a Duesenberg LesTrem II. Note that Graph Tech, Gotoh and Tone Pros make good bridges, to name a few and replacement saddles as well. But note whether the saddles are notched or not.
  12. I, , , like it.. I do like the way the Amber Knobs blend in. Black on Black does work pretty well on my Blonde 339, but its a different contrast.
  13. Nice, I do like Standards, I have a 56 Standard Pro that is such a solid reliable player... Thank you God for sharing...
  14. KDH did mention that Gibson did not actually file a Lawsuit but did send a request to Ibanez to stop infringing on Gibson copywrite. Also his fathers Ibanez LP had a bolt-on neck and a semi hollow body..
  15. Very nice... .................. A little similar to the one below. In the Epiphone Electric blog.. Does anyone know what this thing is... Click to help the owner. Quick question on headstock branding?
  16. Very nice work, my back yard is a little too wild with very fast growth and constantly fighting to push back the jungle. I have a 20'X30' carport behind my house, but needed more space out of the rain, so I have this 12'X20' canopy under construction that adds some protection to the kitchen entrance, country style..
  17. On my electrics I use EB 10 thru 46 and the same exact electric set on my acoustics, because if they don't "feel" the same as my electrics, I don't play them. I sacrificed tone for comfort, recently I went to Elixir coated electric strings 10 thru 46, on my acoustic, because they resist corrosion really well and feel slippery longer. I totally detest wound G strings, my acoustics are setup for me to use the entire length of the neck, hovering a lot past the 12th fret fully taking advantage of the single cutaway body style.
  18. I watched a few of the new Man Vs Bee episodes with Rowan Atkinson (Blackadder and Mr Bean), he seems to be up tp form with a larger budget.
  19. I think I would like a P90 version with a stopbar so I could easily install my preferred Duesenberg Trem., or I could just try one with a Bigsby. I notice too that there is a Pro level as well.
  20. Ringo also played the piano, like John, Paul and George.
  21. I am finding myself strangely drawn to them, I think sparquelito got one not too long ago. A nice thing I noticed about the Bigsby pedal is that it centers for off position, meaning press forward to increase pitch and rock back to dive. My DigiTech back was off forward was selected effect.
  22. Not sure if I was more attracted to the Bigsby or the the Revstar..
