deepblue
Steve Martin as Inspector Clouseau??.....come on Steve-O You have to be pretty full of yourself to think you can fill Peter Sellers shoes. Nobody did it better. Steve Martin was at his best in The Jerk.
Californiaman
Steve Martin: Garden Grove High School Alumnus. And he was a cheerleader. Loved him LA Story. What a fantastic movie. Clouseau?? I don't think so.
Steven Tari
I guess They figured if they could keep doing it to 007. Why the hell not.
rocketman
Yeah I feel the same way. Steve Martin is one of my favorites of all time, but trying to remake anything that Peter Sellers did is just a bad idea. I just hope they don't remake Dr. Strangelove too... saturn
I'm a big Steve Martin fan too. But I don't know anyone who thought the remake of The Pink Panther was good. I was astounded when I saw another one coming out.

cvansickle
Planes, Trains and Automobiles, both Father of the Bride movies, and All of Me were his best, IMO. I think he's a fine dramatic actor and shines as the straight man.

ChanMan
Steve Martin as Inspector Clouseau??.....come on Steve-OYou have to be pretty full of yourself to think you can fill Peter Sellers shoes. Nobody did it better. Steve Martin was at his best in The Jerk. Wrong. He was phenominal in the remake of the Pink Panther... and let me counter saturn's post with "how could anyone NOT like him in the first... he was hilarious!" We are stoked about Pink Panther 2! deepblue
"I want to buy a 'amburger!" I just think hes trying to hard to be like Peter Sellers. I like Steve, I am a fan, but that role in my opinion belonged to the crazy genius, the late Mr. Sellers.
